Terrell asked for his release, Dayne was as good as gone b/c of the injury, but Watts surprised me. Well it'll shorten the preseason threads by about 100 or so that we get for Watts being the man.

The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos RB Ron Dayne has been told he's been cut by the team. "I kind of understand. Once I got hurt, the other guys stepped up," said Dayne, who began training camp as the starting running back, but quickly was surpassed by undrafted rookie RB Mike Bell and then suffered turf toe in the preseason opener and didn't play again.

Actually I only read that Terrell was EXPECTED to get cut, but Dayne/Watts were reported as being cut.

I just read that, too.Looks like we really do have a 3-headed race at the RB position (until they pick up someone else).
