Like I said before, think Kass cruises to the final 3. People don't like her. She never did much. She's perfect for the final 3, she won't get a vote. I bet her smug attitude says otherwise.
Shes risky to have in the final 3 because shes an attorney and could literally make a good case for herself.
But when the jury is also the plaintiff and the witness, there's really not much she can say to convince a majority to give her a million bucks.
Kass may be a lawyer in real life, but she hasn't shown me anything during her time in the game to make it look like she would be able to talk her way out of a situation. Just because she is a lawyer doesn't mean she goes to trial and pleads someone's case.
IMO one of the biggest things that helps you win this game is that final speech. You can play an ok game but if you are good at persuasion you have an advantage. So when looking for someone in the final 3 you want someone that people likely wouldn't vote for and people that would likely not be able to express themselves well in that final tribal. I believe she is a trial lawyer and even if she wasnt most attorneys are taught how to argue a point. I would think twice about picking her for final 3. Someone like the other cop chick would have been perfect. She doesnt seem like she would do well in that final tribal and noone really liked her. Morgan would have been good as well.
My problem with keeping Kass in the game is that you can't trust her for ####. She can flip in an instant. That's a very difficult person to play the game with when you are relying on votes.
She also has an inflated opinion of her game play and her ability to influence the final outcome. #ChaosKassThis usually makes these players completely unpredictable.

I think Tash pulls her weight pretty well. Not sure how she'd do in front of the jury but she brings it better than most women in challenges and I don't get the impression that she's lazy.

Why do you think Trish is more dislike then Tony with the jury?
She hasn't done anything. I don't think she wins with Tony next to her. Same with Jefra. Those two cannot make a case to the jury that they deserve the money. Each other contestant has something to say if they were sitting next to him, imo.
the jury right now is Sara and Morgan, who would likely vote for anybody over that Trish girl. they both hated her a whole lot on the island

The best part was when Tony, with the numbers and having just voted out one of the minority alliance, comes back to camp and whines to those same people for writing down his name. Talk about narcissism.
Even better later when he says "everyone is gunning for me" to those same people as a reason for teaming up with them to vote out a solid member of his own alliance. :loco:

While I don't think he was thinking about it, I actually do think in hindsight, it may have been a good move. Maybe I am reading it wrong, but LJ was very skeptical of Tony early on and I think that his dismissal of Tasha had more to do with not putting a target on his back. I think his discussion with Trish and Jeffra showed more to me that Tony wouldn't end up in the final 3 with those guys and Kass. While Spencer, Tash and Jeremiah have more control now, I think Tony can pull back in Trish now that LJ is gone and Woo. I think Tony would win with those 3 and I think Spencer, Tasha and Jeremiah will splinter because they want to win and if those are the final 3, they are all going to have a tougher time.

Anyway, I have no idea how this will all shake out now, but I think Tony's chance to get to the final 3 is better than it was. Weird end around that could cost Tony, but I think it helps give him a chance now.

Yeah, there was some merit to Tony's "hit him before he hits me" strategy, since LJ needed to get rid of Tony eventually. Trish and Jeffra were likely LJ's final three alliance.

Tony just seemed a little over anxious. Ideally you'd break up Spencer and Jeremiah first. There are a few things that can go wrong if you wait though, so I can't really fault him for pulling the trigger.

I only fault Tony for saying Morgan was useless around camp. If I were LJ, Spencer, or any of the heterosexual men still around, I'd fight for her to stick around for just something nice to look at if for nothing else.

Agreed, he is a bit paranoid and it did make me laugh when he was talking to Spencer and Jeremiah about other people wanting to vote him out. Tony may have pulled the trigger without fully understanding the full ramifications, but it was at least a trigger that in the end wasn't as bad as one would think. This was a Kass move that actually hurt her in many ways. I am so much happier now that Kass is back on the hot seat. Ugh, still can't stand her. Still amazes me about people that can argue their side of things without seeing that the other side is just where they were when they argued the opposite.

I think Tony's issue is that every week he's going to see someone else as a threat. He's going to keep thinking someone is after him and want to vote them out. He's got the same paranoia problem as Russell. No one is going to trust him and, even if he makes the finals, the jury will all be people he's alienated.

The special idol is a complete game changer, especially for this season where no one knows it exists and can plan against it.

Yea its essentially a free life. You can build up complete trust with folks. Maybe play both sides and basically if something backfires, boom, you get a free life. And if you know your getting voted out you can potentially ensure who goes home that week. So many options.

It's BS. Tony skates to the final 3 now. Spencer blew that idol play buy what are you going to do in his position.
Only way tony ####s this up is if he tells people about it and they vote to force him to play it. He should tell no one!!! I will say is fake idol move today was balsy.

It looks like the discussion we had a few weeks before was correct on that idol. Just like I thought before, it is way too powerful and honestly, too easy to find. Finding these idols with virtually no clues is getting silly and almost makes you wonder if producers "help" people find them. Who else would cause so much controversy with it, right, Tony. Who else will piss off enough of his own alliance that he will blindside them when they blindside him, right, Tony. #blindsidetheblindside

Oh well, this has been a solid season, but this new idol, while it may make for great TV, is really going to suck.

Onto the episode, I really thought Spencer had read them correctly and was going to give the idol to Jeremiah. When he paused before giving it to Jeff and turned around, I thought he was going to hand it back to Jeremiah. I know for his own safety it wouldn't make sense, but it seemed obvious that him mentioning the idol didn't elicit the reaction if the alliance had voted for him. It looked like from the preview that maybe Spencer might get in Tony's ear, but based on the reaction, giving the idol to Jeremiah was probably the best chance to get the upper hand. A lot easier to swing Jeffra when she knows that she is part of the larger alliance. She can't stand Tony, but making it 4-4 wasn't a guaranteed way to stay in the game.

If Spencer give the idol to Jeremy, this would have been a great tribal tonight.

Tony is getting cocky. "Fake idol" and all, c'mon. Why even show it at all. Someone has to question his motives and game play. Spencer told four other people tonight that his vote is for Tony as did Tasha. That should wake some of the others up... but it won't.

Problem is that with this new idol, it doesn't matter. Even if they wake up, no one but Tony knows what he can do with the idol. It is like 1 person playing by one set of rules and everyone else playing by another set and not knowing that the 1 person's rules trump theirs.

I get that but having Woo out of the game after tonight would have given the other three a reprieve. More time to figure something out. I wonder if anyone mentions this "fake idol" to Tony at all. Guy is getting too cocky.

And, why can they not find a better hiding spot? Some place that a clue is needed to map out where it is. Come on.

Oh, don't misunderstand me, I was hoping Spencer was going to give Jeremiah the idol and thought for a second he was. I just meant that this stupid all powerful idol means that it doesn't matter if the other people wake up. I agree on the location, these idols are way too easy to find and it almost seems like they are giving help to find them. Tony's comment about feeling something under the dirt? C'mon.

Yup, that "special" idol ruins the game. So stupid.

Don't think it made much of a difference by not playing Idol on Jeremiah. First off, no one in that situation can risk giving it to the other person in a 2 person vote, we have seen that the majority of votes at tribal have been unpredictable, the shark move was playing it on yourself to ensure another 3 days. Also even if it was successful it would still be 4 vs 3 and no chance anyone flips since they would be at the bottom of the other 3 either way, so might as well stick to the 4.

Pretty clear that if Spencer doesnt win immunity next week he is going home, don't see many avenues that he could last another week especially since the main 5 KNOW that he has only friends on the jury. Hope this is not going to be a predictable final few episodes but I don't see any way besides for playing idols past final five or Tony actually winning an immunity award that Tony doesn't get evicted at 5

Completely disagree. Jeffra was going to flop. If she knew it was 4-3, she would have flopped tonight. She didn't do it because she realized she didn't have the advantage with them. She said straight out to Kass and Trish that she couldn't stand Tony and she only stayed in that alliance because it meant she was guaranteed to be safe.

Also, I think Spencer was too emotional with Tony and Woo talking about a real idol. I don't think he read the situation tonight. Woo even mentioned that his alliance thought someone had an idol and it was clear that they felt that Spencer had it. While it wasn't guaranteed for Spencer, it seemed apparent from their reactions and conversations that the vote was for Jeremiah. Spencer, Tasha and Jeremiah had one chance to turn the tables since they had the immunity necklace and one HII.

I'm surprised that they didn't do more planning on the reward challenge. If Jeffra is on board, you have to keep her. The only reason she went back is because of the numbers. 4-4 and she is potentially going home with the rocks. 5-3, no chance she goes home. Why not have Spencer mention the HII and plan for Jeffra to be a "spy" and tell them who they are voting for and give that person the HII. Maybe she screws you, but at this point and based on her mom's letter, she is pretty trustworthy.

good point on the Jeffra thing, she might have flipped at 4-3, though she was on the bottom of either one so not that sensible to flip on Trish. But people say all sorts of crazy stuff at trbal, you can't put too much stock into what Woo was saying. It's one thing if he showed them the idol, then they were way more likely to vote Jeremiah, his play was to show them the idol at tribal, right before the vote and have them at least scrambling big time.

Lol I can't believe these people still believe what Tony says. It's hilarious though that he gets them to buy in. The smart play is to roll on Tony next week, even if they don't know about the idol. They have to realize he's going to win if he makes it to the final by now right?

Ugh - the new "special" idol is the worst idea ever. Ruining what tactically has been an interesting season.

3 teams of 6 with a switch to 2 mixed tribes at 12 or 14 is pretty much the perfect format.

And, why can they not find a better hiding spot? Some place that a clue is needed to map out where it is. Come on.
I agree. I don't like how they just hand someone so much power, but it makes it much worse since it could be found without a clue. Knowing that it is basically a free pass, I would have thought it would have been more difficult to find. Heck, one could argue the one that Spencer found was less conspicuous.

Hate the new idol; so unfair. And apparently too easy to find. I don't blame Spencer. There's not much he can do at this TC. Jeremiah is a good guy but he just isn't a good player in this game IMO.

Tasha is a very good player. I hope either her or Spencer can win immunity challenges for the next few weeks.

Tony is a very good player this season. He's just way too cocky. With his new idol, he should just settle down and not make any new enemies. But I don't think it's in his nature.

Question is how long can he hang on to it before he has to play it?

So what exactly was the clue that got Tony to dig near that tree? Felt really fake.
Seems like the producers told him where it was hidden. But he didn't get any clues... just figured it was hidden near a sort of land mark... a weird looking tree or something. He digs and viola. It's his.

As cocky as Tony is, he probably won't be able to keep it a secret. If I'm Spencer I am following Tony if he goes off alone. He will likely check on his hiding spot from time to time (seems paranoid). If Spencer can somehow steal it, that would be a great TC.

If Tony is dumb enough to tell Woo or Trish he has it, they should certainly gang up on him to force him to use it and get rid of it. They have 5-2 numbers now, so even losing him will keep that alliance in power.

Tony would be incredibly dumb to share his secret.

This idol is way too powerful. I agree, Tony should tell everyone and wear it around camp. There is no way they can flush it out cause it means someone else would be going home. What are Trish, Woo, Jefra and Kass supposed to do? All 4 of them vote Tony to flush the idol? Then the votes from Tony, Spencer and Tash will decide which of the 4 of them goes home. You need larger numbers to flush that idol out. The only way Tony has to use it is if it stays hidden. If everyone knows, there is no way they can vote for him

That would be a dumb thing to do IMO. Everyone in camp would simply vote for him. Trish and Woo and Jefra would be safe because Tony will vote for either Tash or Spencer. So after the idol is burned by Tony, one of those two would be out. Then Woo and Trish don't have to worry about Tony and his special idol any more, and their alliance is back to normal.

I'd like to see a scenario where the 4 of them in the 5 can vote Tony and not have one of them go home. 3 votes will not work either.

Why would Spencer and Tash vote for Tony if everyone knew he had the idol? So they would go home? No way. They vote 1 of the 4, probably Woo. The 4 would realize this and figure out they cannot vote Tony. This idol is too powerful, especially if people know about. The only way possible is after next week and one of Spencer or Tash is left and they all vote Tony and leave the last 2 votes as a 1-1 tie after Tony plays his idol and then vote Tash or Spencer out, but I don't see that happening.

I see your point. Spence and Tash could jack things up if Tony flaunts his idol. I still think he shouldn't though because why upset the apple cart as long as two strong players in an enemy alliance are still in the game?

I think Tony needs to decide who he wants to be with in the final 3. His best bet is with Kass and Trish IMO.. but definitely not Tash and Spencer. I would keep it a secret until one or both of Tash and Spence are gone. I just don't think he is capable of keeping it secret though. He is too cocky.

Agreed on his idol. He should have showed them when Tony was being cocky to make sure they vote for Jeremiah and then give it to Jeremiah or vice versa. Force the ones who don't like Tony to realize that they may be going home. Force Tony to play his idol just in case (note that he wouldn't, but they didn't know he had a special one).

Tony's alliance might actually stick together for a couple weeks now since getting Spencer and Tash out of the game is such a no brainer that even the dimwits in the alliance of five might be able to see it.

Then they'll turn on Tony, he'll play his idol and probably vote out Kass -- the only person in the alliance that has any sort of case to make that she actually played the game.

So Tony, Woo, Trish and Jeffra in the final four.

If Tony doesn't win immunity there he might be in trouble though. After Spencer and Tash's comments last night I don't think anyone wants to go to the final three with him.

Trish, Woo and Jeffra -- who wins the vote?

We say that but in reality it might have taken him 3 days of 8 hours of searching.

Depends on the jury of course, but I could see Jefra winning that vote because a bitter jury will like her better than the other two. Especially LJ and Morgan would give it to Jefra. Could also depend on how the last couple of challenges and TCs go, though. Woo could make a push and impress. I just don't see Trish winning in any case.

Trish is the reason their alliance is in power. Plus, she was the one that orchestrated the Cliff vote. She's certainly not playing as hard as Tony, but she's atleast been playing the game.

The special idol is a complete game changer, especially for this season where no one knows it exists and can plan against it.
It's BS. Tony skates to the final 3 now. Spencer blew that idol play buy what are you going to do in his position.
Only way tony ####s this up is if he tells people about it and they vote to force him to play it. He should tell no one!!! I will say is fake idol move today was balsy.
Keeping a normal idol secret, sure. But this one? No way. Its so incredibly powerful that the mere knowing it exists both protects Tony until whenever it's no longer useful, but also it gives him control of the votes. I'd not only tell everyone about it, I'd be strutting around camp with that thing around my neck.
If im spencer, and i know he has this, its an easy way to turn the others by saying we cant win unless we flush this idol out. No way id mention it. will be interesting to see how it is played.
