Swimming in La Jolla (1 Viewer)

Took a trip down. Unseasonably cold waters in the Cove, supposedly. Anyone down there recently?

as far as La Jolla, last time i was over that way, i frolicked on the beach with a peeler by the name of Dee Dee Winter - then we got drunk at a Carlos Murphy's.

Dude, I got some shrinkage tonight. Had to change behind a car after diving in with the official mod shirt in front of all the kiddies and "Justices Of The Pacific"

Not La Jolla, but we were somewhere around Carlsbad/Oceanside two weeks ago. I wouldn't have wanted to to swim. There were a few kids and a bunch of surfers that didn't seem to mind.

Yep. This was Sat., but no different. They'd shut off the tourist line for the Cove, but I thought it was fine (I think). Dove in with the Who shirt, for real.  :thumbup:

eta* kids were out in droves, loving it. I jumped in like a banshee, like an idiot. Loved it. My family and extended family laughed.

eta2* Mom's birthday is Earth Day, so we were planning on a festival, but that's mainly 4/23 this year, if I'm not mistaken. Really, all I'm saying is yesterday was a good day and was hoping MoCS is well.  He is. We can carry on.

Stayed in Coronado this last week. We tried the beach a few times; it was too cold so we mostly stayed by the pool which was heated. 

I was at La Jolla last Monday visiting UCSD with my daughter. Beautiful campus; she loved it.

Let me recalibrate. I was staring this thread about a specific guy I was worried about, and now I find out you're well, and that's awesome. La Jolla is a ways away from me, but if you ever need support -- and that's such a joke -- PM me, Maurile.  

So stupid, but maybe something at some point. Gladly give you my number like the other person involved in the thread .  

 
Daughter went to Camp Pendelton's beach yesterday...by 5pm, they pulled everyone from the water because the tides were too rough.

 
RA, when i'm out that way later this year (August), we can slam some back, and go searching for my erstwhile peeler friend in El Cajon ...

Yep. Sure thing thing. I brought it up in that old thread that I'm going to -- groan -- Metallica on the 6th for my SiL, but other than that, we sure can.  

 
Born and raised in SD.  Water is always cold this time of the year ( yes Maurile 60 is cold,  glad your doing better btw).  Doesn't usually warm up til mid summer really.

Born in raised in CT. Total transplant here. Was surprised that 60 was cold, but dove in anyway. Just love it, and love SD.

mind you, that skank i'm referencing gotta be in her mid-40s these days (hot as Alabama asphalt back then, but didn't look like the type who would age well - if at all)  :X
