That might have been a good point if Damien Woody hadn't left as a free agent. His resurgence at right tackle was generally cited as the biggest reason the O-line was playing better.

After the past couple of seasons, it's mind boggling how someone like him would open his mouth to the media and say such a thing. I'm not saying he shouldn't have goals, if that's his goal and he wants to shoot for it, I think he should.

Personally, he should just start out with trying to play in 16 games. His goal should be to participate in all 16 games, that would be something he hasn't done recently and reachable.

I don't even think that is possible. If they do not grab a high (1 or 2) round RB, I can see the 1300 yards (barely), but I think he needs to temper his TD expectations by about 10.

Anyone else see this as a sign of him lacking accountability? If he has a bad season then it's all the line's fault and if he has a great season it'll be all because of him... He's just trying to convince management that he can be the man and that they don't need to draft a RB. Not going to happen though.

Assuming that Bell was being interviewed (and this quote would not be available otherwise) and the reporter asks, since KJ got cut, what are your expectations this season? What is the man supposed to say? The majority of all athletes are confident. I think that a prediction of 1,300 yards is reachable for a starting RB. On this thread, Bell has been laughed at for the 1,300 being unreachable and also for lack of confidence since the prediction is modest. If he would have kept the TDs lower, I think that this is a reasonable expectation for the starting RB. Maybe that won't be Bell, but what else can the man say?
