T. Henry has earned the opportunity to be traded (1 Viewer)

I have no interest in vilifying Travis Henry. I just don't see why his situation is any different from scores of other players around the league.
It's because many on here only think about their FF team and don't want to look at Henry for what he is, a servicable RB who can perform decent given the right situation. He is not owed a starting job like many here want to think.
:rotflmao: 3200+ yards and 25 TDs in 2 seasons = Servicable

Cast him aside, I give up. Your argument is rock solid.

Colin
Why aren't teams in need of a RB running to trade for him then. He isn't that expensive.Your opinion clearly differs from what real NFL executives think. I'll go with the opinions of the guys who get paid big bucks to evaluate talent. You can believe you know better than them if you like.
LOL - aren't these 'big-buck' guys the same ones who let McGahee fall to Buffalo at the end of the first round?

Things will probably change after the draft. No one's going to give up a pick they might be able to get a superstud for. Once they realize (again) that they're not that much smarter than the rest of the NFL, teams will pony up.

I doubt it. What the executives are considering is that he'll want to negotiate a long-term deal as soon as he's traded - most likely for more than he's really worth. If I were going to trade for a RB that I'd have to sign to a big deal it would be Edge or SA, not Henry.

If Travis Henry is not traded by Buffalo, I have a feeling that Henry will holdout, and the holdout will be exactly the same as the type that Joey Galloway had in his last season with the Seahawks. If you recall, Galloway sat out the first eight weeks of that season, and returned for the last 8 weeks so that he would receive credit for having played a season, thus allowing him to become a FA at the conclusion of the season. The only difference that I see however, is that Galloway returned and virtually reassumed the #1 WR role for the Seahawks. I think Henry will differ in the sense that he will come back only to suit up for the final 8 games, and not really be looked upon or called on to produce, rather simply serve the last of his term with the Bills.Anyone think that this could happen?

I wouldn't. Edge is going to be extremely expensive and (I know he's recovered, but...) still does have that knee history.Alexander, frankly, doesn't seem to give it all on every play and has shown that his care for personal accolades trumps his belief in a team atmosphere

Henry is younger, motivated, and will play through huge injuries. I think the guy's going to make some team very, very happy. He's produced like crazy with little to no offensive line help for a few years.

Very interesting...never thought about that. What about him getting traded like Keenan McCardell did? Sure there are a lot of RB options right now...but what about later on if a playoff caliber team loses their starting RB and doesn't have an option as solid as Travis Henry?

Could that happen? If it came to that, he would still be pretty cheap because he would be that much closer to leaving the Bills with them getting nothing in return (at the end of the season)...

SA is a year older than Henry and Edge is a whopping 2 months older. Your point that he produced (3200+ yards and 25 TDs in 2 seasons) is exactly right, but the problem is that he's going to want a deal very similar to Edge and SA because he thinks those 2 seasons prove he's worth it.

TB was able to haggle a 3rd and 6th out of the Chargers for McCardell. A team that has some RB injuries and desperate could offer a lot more than they are willing to right now.
