I know with Garcia, Tampa may play-action a lot at the GL..I haven't heard much about who is getting the $$$$ carries...anyone know??

I also heard Darby's name been thrown around....if I had to bet....I think Pittman gets the carries

It will be Caddy on the goalline! If he doesn't get those carries and Garcia bootlegs everytime to run it in I am going to TB and dead finger nut tap Gruden myself! :boxing: :bag: :suds:

That's my feeling, too...I wouldn't underestimate Garcia picking up a few rushing TDs this season. Tampa doesn't have great WRs, and if you watched him in Philly last season, he still likes to run...A LOT. Caddy should get anything inside the 10...if it's right on the 1, Garcia QB sneak could be the play of choice.

You're welcome.Pittman hasn't been effective as a short yardage/GL back, so my guess is that Caddy will be given first shot at the stripe.
 Pittman has absolutely ZERO chance of being the GL back.

After putting Darby on the practice squad and IR'ing Alstott...the only GL options are Caddy and Graham. Caddy has been a GL back in college, and had some short-yardage success in the NFL in '05. Graham is the "August MVP" of the Bucs...showing well every preseason, then disappearing during the regular season.

I haven't seen anything in stone...but I would expect Caddy to get the GL carries with the backup FB leading the way instead of Pittman. Outside the 5 yard line or so, expect to have Pittman in the backfield with Caddy also, giving Garcia the option of hitting Pitt out of the backfield.

Caddy is probably their best shot at the goalline, but Gruden loves to bring in another back at the goalline. He did this with the Raiders and he's done it with the Bucs... Don't be surprised if he gives the ball to Graham or even talks himself into giving Chris Hovan the rock at the stripe.

People often bring this up, and I think it's a bit misleading as to Gruden's leanings. During his entire coaching career, Chucky had either Zack Crockett and Mike Alstott - two of the best situational goal line guys in recent times. Who wouldn't give the rock to them in those situations?
