TD Pass in all 16 games (2 Viewers)

If Brady plays and throws a TD pass next week vs Miami, he becomes the 6th QB to throw a TD pass in all 16 games in a season.

Who are the other 5? IMO, 4 you can just say "yeah, ok." The 5th kind of stunned me.

Favre did it once and also had seven seasons where he threw a TD pass in all 15 games he played in and two more seasons where he did it in all 14 games he played in.

That's 10 seasons, 149 games played, 149 games with 1 or more TD passes.

There is one WTF, but another who has fallen from enough grace that you forget he was once had that type of production since in theory he should still at least an OK NFL QB.

I guess they haven't talked about "the streak" in your neck of the woods.

I know Dave Krieg has a long string of games with at least one TD pass. Did he make the list?

EDIT: I looked through the box scores from 1984. Looks like he passed for a TD in all 16 games.

Stump your friends and win some bets with these not so well known facts.

Given these clues, I'll try to go QB and year:Dan Marino, 1984 & 1985Kurt Warner, 1999Brett Favre, 1997 or 1998Carson Palmer, 2004 (the year he hurt his knee in the playoffs)Lynn Dickey, 1983

Lynn Dickey is not right -- he threw 32 TDs that year, but the Pack was held to 3 points in one of their games. That was my first thought for the "WTF?" guy.

Not sure, but Unitas did it in 47 straight games
That was 47 straight games that he played in, not 47 straight games played by the Colts. I think Unitas only had 1 season where he threw a TD in every game.

Also, the trivia question is for 16-game seasons. Unitas played 12-game and 14-game seasons.

Confirmed via profootballreference:

Dan Marino, 1984 & 1986

Dave Krieg, 1984

Kurt Warner, 1999

Brett Favre, 2003

Daunte Culpepper, 2004

...

Still looking up the rest. Was Culpepper the "WTF?" guy, or is there someone more surprising?

EDIT: Hooper was right about Dave Krieg's 1984 ... I guess he was the "WTF?" guy.

Not sure I understand why he would be that guy. He had a string of great years for Seattle. He's still somewhere around #10 or #12 in total passing TDs. :pokey:

I would guess that you are more familiar with Seattle than most of us. I think of Dave Krieg on a national scale as good QB with a couple of good years.

nah wasnt that culpepper's first year? with moss and cris carter, plus his ability to run for a score, by himself he won tons of games.....i dont think anyone would be a wtf guy, i mean it's not like you have to be awesome, just consistent, i'd bet more often that not krieg's games were not multi touchdowns.if Josh Freeman throws a td against new orleans next week, then he would be 1 game away (early in the season vs pitt) from doing the same thing.

Now that NE has home field wrapped up, does Brady even play next week?

Peyton hit 15 several times, I wonder how many of those seasons he sat out week 17.

It's just a question. Please for the love of god, don't turn this thread into another Peyton-Brady pissing contest.

Closing the loop here on this (admittedly old) thread. Both Brees and Brady completed TD passes in all 16 regular season games they played in 2010.
