PPR Bestball
1 QB / 2 RB / 2 WR / 1 TE / 2 FLX / 1 DEF / 1 K

QB:
J.Love, J.Herbert
RB: J.Gibbs, B.Hall, B.RobinsonJR, N.Chubb
WR: T.McLaurin, L.McConkey, J.Jeudy, D.Moore, J.Waddle
TE: W.Dissly
DEF: Chiefs
K: B.Aubrey

Notable players on the wire:

QB: B.Nix, J.Winston
RB: T.Bigsby, I.Davis, S.McCormick, P.Taylor
TE: T.Hockenson H.Henry, Z.Ertz, T.Kraft, J.Johnson
DEF: Washington, Cincinnati
K: K.Fairbairn, W.Reichard

Managed to sneak my way into playoffs last minute (position 5 of 6). Need to prepare.
Definitely need to pick up a TE to replace Dissly. Thinking Hock, but he has been wildly unreliable under Darnold. Ertz/Kraft/Johnson have been a bit more consistent as of late. Only thing that makes me nervous about Ertz is relying so heavily on one team since I Have BRob & Terry.

Right now I'm thinking:
  • Drop Chiefs DEF for Washington
  • Drop Dissly for either Ertz or Kraft
  • Drop Aubrey for Fairbairn
  • Drop Herbert for Nix
Any other moves worth making with who's available on the wire? Any of the above moves not the way to go?

In a best ball I want the upside of Winston. He has to be on your team. I almost like the pair of Nix/Winston better than what you have. I would go with whichever QB you think has the highest floor (either Love or Nix for me) and then Winston for the upside.

As far as TE goes, do you want upside or floor. If you want floor I would go with Johnson. If you want upside I would go with Hock (Monday night vs Bears). If you are daring I would drop Chubb and take two TE's. Chubb has no ceiling at the moment and I don't see it happening. I don't think he adds much to your lineup (sad to say).

I don't have any thoughts on kicker or defense. It would be hard to move away from Aubrey if you get more points for longer FG's.

I hadn't thought of going down to 3 RBs, but I actually don't think that's a bad idea. Even with the current uncertainty around Breece, Gibbs and BRob have been a reliable RB1/2 pair. If they fill those slots and Breece has a bad week or doesn't play, my WRs should hopefully do well enough to fill up their slots and the flex spots.

We do get points for longer field goals, so I may hold Aubrey. They are only one rank apart in my league, but the consistency of Fairbairn getting 10+ nearly every week was tempting.

When it comes to QBs, A.Richardson is also abailable? Would he slot into a similar position as Winston as an upside only hold. Seems to have a better schedule ROS than the Browns do. Although Winston does love to sling it.

Fairbairn is the only other kicker I would entertain to drop Aubrey because he is good from 50+ as well. I don't think that is a bad swap but it's a coin flip.

Richardson is all about getting the rushing TD's . If those don't happen his upside is capped. Winston also has a higher floor than Richardson. I would rather have Winston than Richardson in a best ball.

Yeah, fair point here. Think I'll just stick it out with Aubrey. Have held him all season, would feel rude at this point.

Any idea on proposed waiver order? Right now I have it in as:
  1. Drop W.Dissly for T.Hockenson
  2. Drop J.Herbert for J.Winston
  3. Drop J.Love for B.Nix
  4. Drop Chiefs for Commanders
I will also likely grab J.Johnson, but he's lower in the projections on Sleeper so I think he'll make it through waivers and I can pick him up without needing a prio when i wake up for work (I wake up not long after waivers clear).
I figure if I don't get Hockenson I can try for a combo of Kraft/Johnson at TE.
Sad to lose Love as a packers fan, but looking at his scoring vs Nix over the season, it's almost no comparison with the floors.
