Team tanking the season (1 Viewer)

I am a commish in a work league, which is a low $$ league. Our rules don't cover tanking, only inactive owners. We've had guys submit less than optimal lineups in the last week or two of the season for better drat spots. However this week a guy decides to tank. He is 1-5, so he's a long shot. But he inactivated Brady for the rest of the year, started an injured RB and put 4 players on bye I to his lineup.

I am not sure what to do. This obviously is going to screw up the league.

Not much you can do this year since he paid his money but I would explain to him how he could affect the rest of the league by doing this and don't allow him back next year.

If you don't have a rule against tanking, then you should NOT get involved with this. Let him be a d-bag for now, then kick him out next year.

In over 10 years of playing FF I've never had anything like this happen in a league of mine, much less when I am the commish. As commissioner, do I have the right to boot the guy from the league next year or is this a league vote type thing?

I've thought about giving him his money back and telling him to hit the road. I'd pay the fee for someone else at this point.

What did you do in those situations, kick those teams out of the league?

If not, your rules basically encourage tanking, and this guy is doing nothing wrong. Shark move on this guy's part.

How would you write a rule against someone starting one player over another?

Good point. You need to change the rule for next season.
