I don't have much of a problem with any uniform, but I dislike the helmets of the Broncos, Patriots and Jagwires.
I am a Jet fan and while I think their unis now are fine, I do miss their 80s-90s gear too. But whenever I think about their 80s gear, Richard Todd comes to mind...ughhh!Good call there....I actually liked the Giants unis and logo from the 80s....it was nice and simple. As for my team, I could do without the fire-engine red pants on the road for the Chiefs. I liked the white-on-white for road games that KC used under Schottenheimer. The home jerseys should never be touched. The Giants need to ditch the red unis. They look hideous and the team plays like crap when they break them out.
These are the worst for sure. Nothing matches. Trims contradict. Looks like a bunch of 10 year olds scrapping together pieces parts. The Giants need to ditch the red unis. They look hideous and the team plays like crap when they break them out.![]()
Gee, I wonder why.I have always hated the Broncos uniforms.
What really about it is there was an intensive study maybe 15 years ago about colors, and what colors people like the best. The two colors that stood about above the rest were black and teal. Ever since that study, every sport has tried to incorporate versions of black and teal in team uniforms. Even if they don't get it exact, they try to approach those two colors as best as possible. What sucks about it all is that its not about city heritage or tradition, its utterly about marketing and the dollar. Among the culprits of this movement are:Florida MarlinsJacksonville JaguarsCarolina PanthersCharlotte HornetsPhiladephia Eagles - they changed the green in their uniforms to look more like teal and added very dark accents that look black.Detroit Lions - added black to their honolulu blue. Wouldn't be surprised if they shifted that blue color more towards teal in a few years.New York Jets - added black accents to their 90s jerseys and shifted the color more towards teal. The worst part about this is no one even said these two colors looked good together. They were simply the two most popular colors. So they put them together.i generally agree with that, and i'm biased but one exception is when the jacksonville jaguars roll out in their black on black unis. this look is very fitting for this team. it's a reminder that someone is about to get punched in the mouth.(incidentally, i'm not a big fan of their basic teal scheme. teal's a bad choice and in general, their unis have an nfl europe look to them)Basically, any uniform that has dark on dark is bad.
Basically all the old school uniforms like Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, etc are the best. And all these modern style uniforms are ugly. For the record, the Browns uniforms are great. Simple is better.![]()
I'd have to say NY Giants uni's are bad, but the Cowboys need to move into the new era..I mean, its 2007..that old tired white jersey has to go.same with chicago..same with the Saints all black outfits..black pants and shirts? looks like grown men running around in pantyhose. lol
New Chargers unis are horrid. The ones they replaced were great, but the new ones look like an arena league team. And what was once the greatest special uniform, the true throwback powder blues, are now a joke with the modern powder blue. They should do a throwback to the Fouts/Winslow blue and golds. The Hawks home unis are great, I'm finally used to the dark on dark. But the white on white road crap has to go. Should always wear the blue pants. I am still waiting for the throwback day for us but don't know if it's coming. One thing about the old colors, it was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get any fan gear that looked good, at tleast the new colors make for better t-shirts.Except for the homer love of Seattle's dark on dark, nobody should wear dark on dark. ESPECIALLY the Cardinals. Very few of the Bengals combos make me not want to puke.Any orange 3rd jerseys (Miami. Cleveland) should be burned.Any black on black (Ravens, Eagles) is horrible. Cleveland's brown and orange is ugly and absolutely perfect. Makes me think of muddy football in the rain and snow.Giants' are horrible, with the slate gray pants and especially when they wear those terrible red jerseys. Putrid.BengalsbillsCardsSeachickens

However, maybe LT's Darth Vader face mask will change all that.:X This is the true reason they're doing so poorly compared to last year, but no-one wants to talk about it....mad sweeney said:New Chargers unis are horrid. I'm afraid with what Miami would come up with if they changed. The Dolphins aqua is just a bad color, I guess it flies in South Florida but away games in Buffalo, NYJ and NE in November/December they look bad....reminds me of the Zubaz Zebra pants in the 80s.
I agree, IMO the new Chargers uniforms are worst. The Oregon Ducks have the best uniforms and in NFL I would say the orange ones from the Fins are great.mad sweeney said:New Chargers unis are horrid.
