Tebow Owners (1 Viewer)

Scoring and starting requirements? Those are particularly applicable to Tebow. For instance, in my dynasty league it's bonus scoring 0-9 yd TD = 6 pts, 10-39 yd TD = 9 pts and double points for QB run/catch TD. So on Tebow's 13 yd. TD Sunday, that's an 18 pt play. In that league, you'd have a better chance of getting Romo/Schaub out of me than Tebow.

But standard scoring (4pt pass TD), start 1 QB formats I'd be asking for a high end RB2 like Beanie or McGahee or a mid WR2 (AJ Green, DeSean) assuming the other owner was in genuine need.

I'm dangling him for legit #1 wideouts in a redraft PPR(All TDs 6pts) league where I'm already loaded at QB. I don't expect to get someone at the top of the tier, Fitz/AJ/Calvin/Welker/et al, but Tim's got a lot of fanboys. It only takes one of them to be all giddy now that he's been anointed the starter and overreact. If he remains the starter he's going to score a good bit. It'll be ugly sometimes, but ugly points count too. I don't expect for him to snare a guy in the Nicks/Maclin/Jennings range, but nor will it surprise me if he does.

Were I not as strong at QB in this particular league, I'd probably be inclined to hold on to him.

In dynasty I really have no idea what I'd ask for if I owned him/offer if I wanted to acquire him. A lot would depend on scoring format. In 6pt TD leagues he'd have a lot of value. Leagues with no penalty for INTs would bump him up as well.

was offered Tebow and Jermichael Finley for Rodgers. Initially I laughed. But in reality it would probably work out to be a lot more even then it looks on paper. I had Tebow last year and he was pretty good fantasy wise. I still rejected the trade.

He countered with Thomas Jones! "I know Tim Tebow, i've seen, Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow is no qb."

Guess I'll have to hold for a few weeks, and then the price will be much higher. I think the problem with trying to move Tebow in 12 team start 1 QB leagues is that the owners of the following QBs definitely won't make the move:

Rodgers

Brees

Brady

Vick

Romo

Rivers

Stafford

Newton

That's 8. Leaving the owners of the following QBs as potential trade partners:

Roethlisberger

Schaub

Ryan

Fitzpatrick

Kolb

Eli

Sanchez

Bradford

Roeth, Schaub, Ryan, Fitz owners are unlikely to give up a huge amount at this point.

I was offered Dalton and two 2nds (dynasty, 4pt passing, 6 pt rec/rushing) this afternoon. Na-ga-da. But I'll see if he is interested in giving someone of value.

That guy sounds like a goof. Whethr he believes Tebow is a QB or not he should not discredit his fantasy dominance.

I tried trading Tebow and wr decker for reggie Wayne, same response that Tebow isn't a good NFL QB

I have Newton and Schaub too, and would rather deal Schaub but can't get much for him either.

I think so many QB's are excelling this year that everyone views their QB as a position of strength on their FF team

I think Tebow must develop this season if he wants to be an nfl QB longterm. This might mean he stays longer in the pocket and develop more into a more orthodox passer.Mcnair, while not a 100% apple to apple comparison, had to make huge change to his game to become a more rounded and actually good passer. Is there some possibility that tebow resist his natural run 1st instincts for the sake of development? With 10 weeks left is it risky to expect him to play 100% of this highly athletic, yet unorthodox style?Just concerned this could be real letdown here

I am going the opposite way - trying to trade Schaub and Rivers in two leagues, and banking on Timmy Football to carry me to the playoffs

QBs are a buyer's market in 1 QB leagues. The problem is they're next to worthless on the seller's bench whereas the RB1/WR1 trade target is vital to the buyer's team, so a seller will always be more motivated to sell than a buyer to buy. It doesn't matter how much the buyer needs improved QB play, the perceived value will be lower. In terms of theoretically value, maybe a high RB2. But in terms of real-world perceived value, mid-low WR2 or RB2/3 Lynch/Starks type.

I don't think anyone will trade Sproles in a PPR for any QB other than Brady or Rodgers atm.
