Teddy Lehman (1 Viewer)

chook

Another doughnut for the supposed heir to Detroit's MLB. Do many of you out there own him? If so, are you thinking of dropping him?

An excellent question for the IDP gurus around here. I picked him up a few weeks back on the advice of one of the staffers here.... Hold him over the offseason or dump his ####? I am out of the playoffs in that league, so its time to build for next year - keep him or does anyone have a better "flyer" pick?

Lehman is proving to be the ultimate tease. He wasn't in the base defense very often at all and it's been three weeks since Marinelli suggested that it'd be a five man rotation at LB, with Lehman seeing a good chunk at MLB. Lehman was a good gamble given that Paris Lenon isn't anything special but if there's anything of use on the waiver wire, you can easily release Lehman.

With Ernie Sims at WLB in this scheme, Gary Brackett/Lance Briggs numbers were probably pushing it this season anyway. Still a good spot to keep an eye on though. If the Lions bring in anyone of note in the offseason, there's good potential IDP value there.

Boss Bailey has become available, who do you see as more valuable of the two long term, or has ship already sailed?

The current Lion staff have stated that Bailey best position is at SLB, and they like Alex Lewis more there anyway. If Bailey can't generate enough buzz inside his own team to displace guys like Teddy Lehman and Paris Lenon, it ain't gonna happen for him without a change in scenery or another rash of injuries in Detroit. Not enough potential there to roster IMO.

For those looking for IDP prospects to stash for 2007 you should keep in mind that Millen may be fired after this year and that could lead to complete turnover of coaching staff and personel moving forward.

The Lions franchise is not stable enough to really plan for future players from remaining useful except for the clearly highly talented ones.
