Tell Me About Dukes and Spilborghs (1 Viewer)

We overspent on some bigger names and needed to fill out our OF spots at the end of the draft.

We wound up with both Spilborghs and Dukes.

19 team league with 4 OF starters.

Will either of these actively help or hurt any specific categories or are they relatively safe (meh) picks?

On the bright side we got the big guns we were shooting for - but had to fill in with garbage late.

On a side note - what can you tell me about Anthony Reyes - he was our third late round garbage pickup with nothing else left to sift through. Does he help or hurt the 5 standard categories?

Both Spilborghs & Dukes are decent starters in a 19 team league. They have 20-20 upside this season. The risk is they'll lose playing time due to Dexter Fowler in COL and Jim Bowden's OF museum in DC.

Reyes is just a guy. He doesn't strike many people out. He could win 10 and be league average in ERA and WHIP or he could blow up and be 2-14 again. In a deep league, I'd rather take my chances with a MR committee than somebody like Reyes.

Thanks - our first of two add/drops is available May 15 - so I suffer through Reyes until then....good insigth though as I know who I will need to replace.

Injury/suspension also a risk with Dukes. I'd say Dukes has more upside, especially in terms of power, but Spilborghs is a little safer and should have a better average.If either guy can get 600 PA, he should outperform his draft position fairly easily.
