Temper my enthusiasm for Ray Rice #1 Overall (1 Viewer)

So, I have the #1 in my FFPC Main Event High Stakes draft. I can pick from anyone (obviously) and am leaning heavily towards Ray Rice. I see Heap gone, Magahee gone, McClain gone. I see Evans there to stretch the field vertically.

What is not to like about is position this year? Factoring in 1st round risk mitigation, I'm happy with Rice here.

Other options-

Foster- Already dinged, not sold on anywhere close to a repeat.

ADP- No Rice, McNabb, O-line issues.

CJ2K- Holding out will hurt him at a minimum, if he stays out then forget it.

J. Charles- I don't trush the coach.

Give me the downside to Rice. I'm willing to listen.

There's more discussion of this in the First Pick thread. I have the number 2 pick tomorrow and am going back and forth between Peterson and Rice. I think McNabb's presence could help Peterson raise his receptions and you can't argue with his consistency..But Rice does seem to have a nice situation with what you mentioned plus Leach.. Today I am favoring Rice. Tomorrow, we'll see!

Passing up Foster would be a mistake.

Could be a good call but, like MJD, it seems theres a lot of games with so little production (and then monster games). Last year only 2 games with 100+ and only 5 rushing td's. I wouldn't let preseason drama affect my decision TOO much. PPR helps Rice but the speed of ADP, Charles, and CJ- and Fosters dominance last year would keep Rice in the top tier but not #1.
