Jets

1) Kerry Rhodes, S- A VERY underated Safety who has been phenominal for us so far.

2) Kris Jenkins, NT- The vital piece to our defense that determines whether we succeed or look like 2007 again.

3) Alan Faneca, LG- Pro Bowl guard who played well in Pittsburgh.

4) David Harris, ILB- Tackleing Machine. A true force at Middle Linebacker.

5) Darrel Reavis, CB- Proved last year to be a solid CB.

6) Laverneous Coles, WR- Proven to be a great leader and WR.

7) Nick Mangold, C- Developing into solid Center

8) D’Brickashaw Ferguson, LT- Developing into a solid LT.

9) Calvin Pace, OLB- No, I don’t think he’s a one year wonder. Great signing. at OLB.

10) Thomas Jones, RB- Managed 1000 yard season despite poor o-line. Yes lacked in TDs, but I blame the offensive coordinator for that one. Thankfully we hired Bill Calahan to help with the line and run game.

[11) Jericho Cotchery, WR; 12) Leon Washington, RB; 13) Tony Richardson, FB; 14) Chad Pennington, QB; 15) Kenyon Coleman, DE; 16) Shuan Ellis, DE; 17) Brandon Moore, RG; 18) Eric Barton, ILB; 19) Justin Miller, CB; 20) Damien Woody, RT]

I didn’t include any rookies. It’d be unfair to assume how they’re going to do. But I’m hoping Keller, TE/WR, Gholston, OLB, and Lowery S/CB will crack the top 10 this year.)

1- Champ Bailey. Duh. One of the top 5 players in the entire NFL, imo.

2- Jay Cutler. The kid is going to be dynamite in this league for a long, long time.

3- Elvis Dumervil. Probably a surprising pick, but few players in the league right now are more valuable than elite passrushers, and Dumervil will soon be a household name in that department.

4- D.J. Williams. The manchild is too good to not become a force once again.

5- Daniel Graham. He's an offensive tackle (and a very good one, at that) with amazing hands.

6- Brandon Marshall. I'd like to see some more consistency, but the physical tools are all there.

7- Dre Bly. Still a huge gambler, and not at his previous level anymore, but this is a guy who once went 1-on-1 against elite receivers more than any other CB in the NFL... and now he's lining up against #2s. Classic mismatch.

8- Tom Nalen. He's a hall of famer. Physical skills are deteriorating, but they were never that great to begin with, and he remains a master technician.

Tennessee Titans:

1. Haynesworth, Albert DT

2. Bulluck, Keith OLB

3. Young, Vince QB

4. Vanden Bosch, Kyle DE

5. Roos, Michael T

6. Mawae, Kevin C

7. Thornton, David OLB

8. Finnegan, Cortland CB

9. Scott, Jake T

10t. Griffin, Michael FS

10t. Harper, Nick CB

The order is tough after Haynesworth and Bulluck. Some will argue with VY as #3, but he's there IMO.

Notice, 7 on D, 3 on the OL, and the only O-skill player is VY. Crumpler could make this list, I think Johnson will soon too.

Vikings:

1. Steve Hutchinson - The Shaun Alexander "fall" isn't a big coincidence.

2. Kevin Williams - Unblockable

3. Adrian Peterson - Unbelievable talent

4. Jared Allen - Should be a great addition to the team.

5. Pat Williams - Great football player, but I am worried a bit about when age catches up to him.

6. EJ Henderson - Highly underrated player who just produces.

7. Bernard Berrian - I like his talent and ability to get open (hopefully Tarvaris can get it to him consistently).

8. Chester Taylor - Still a very good player, but in quite a shadow.

9. Antoine Winfield - Great for the cover two because he tackles well, but downfiled coverage isn't the best.

10. Chris Kluwe - I know, I know - a punter? But his ability to put the ball inside the twenty is great and with the defense they have, can't be overlooked.

Steelers

1. Hines Ward - toughest WR ever

2. Ben Roethlisberger - this is his team now and he should only get better

3. Aaron Smith - run defense was non-existent without him

4. Troy Polamalu - a bit inconsistent but a force to be reckoned with

5. Willie Parker - perpetually underrated

6. Casey Hampton - he is one of the top nosetackles in the league

7. Marvel Smith - he is a great player when he's healthy

8. James Harrison - a beast who wore down in his first full season

9. Santonio Holmes - only getting better and he's got speed to burn

10. Lamar Woodley - this year should be the coming out party

SD:

1 - LT - seriously

2 - Merriman - roids and all the dude is a beast

3 - Gates - best TE in the game

4 - Antonio Cromartie - dude is still learning the position and is a shut down corner that lead the league in INTs

5 - Jamal Williams - was considered the best NT in the game, slowed down some due to age/injuries

6 - Chris Chambers - came on strong at the end of the year and playoffs, dude has all world talent

7 - Marcus McNeil - seemed to regress just a tad last year, had an outstanding rookie campaign

8 - Igor Olsansky - dude is a mule

9 - Quinten Jammer - really came into his own last season, I've always been hard on him but now he's the best CB2 in the league

10 - SHaun Phillips - outside pass rusher specialist, does what he does great -needs to improve his all around game

Honorable mention - Luis Castillo, Nick Hardwick,Phil Rivers

note on Rivers- much maligned due to his smack talk personality, but playing in the AFCC with no ACL won me over, dude's starting record as a QB is awesome and this is the watermark 3rd year starting

Another Jets fan here. 1) Kerry Rhodes- very complete safety. should have made the pro-bowl 2 years ago(somehow lynch made it despite less tackles and no int's or sacks)2) David Harris- showed all pro potential last year in about 1/2 a season worth of work. The sky is the limit.3) Laverneous Coles- If healthy, he's up here. It's not his fault that Chad gets him laid out on every other catch4) Darrelle Revis- Had a teriffic first year, especially since he missed part of camp. Got burned a few times, but he's going to be a pro-bowler5) Alan Faneca- Exactly what this team needed (although it would be great if he was a few years younger)6) Jerricho Cotchery- Very Talented and tough. Still improving7) Kris Jenkins- i cant put him higher than this until i see him at the nose full time8) Leon Washington- Very talented and badly under utilized last year. He can be westbrook-lite if given the touches 9) Thomas Jones- I think the line hurt him last year for sure. However, he was still very mediocre in short yardage situations. Having faneca on the left side should help get some push10 Cavin Pace- I'm putting him here by default, as i haven't really seen him play muchferguson- can't possibly put him in the top 10 after such a mediocre year. If he's a franchise tackle, it's time to show it.Coleman- had a very solid year last season. He'll benefit a lot from having jenkins there taking a double teamchad- noodle arm and absolutly piss poor decision making last year. I'm ready for Clemens.justin miller- he's a great return man but has shown nothing at CB. He hits hard, but has no instincts in coverage. richardson- nice addition, but the fullback is going the way of the dinosaurellis- what the hell happened to this guy. He went from a dynamic pass rusher to a mediocre space eater. hopefully the addition of the 2 edge rushers frees him up a bitBarton- ok player. slightly above JAG level IMO. Moore- i'd be much more comfortable with him as a backup, but he's ok. Woody- who the hell knows. He can't be any worse than Clement, although he did get benched by the lionsI like our 3 top rookies. My guess is lowry moves to safety next to kerry, as his ball hawking skills would free up rhodes to play in the box a little bit more.

Cowboys

(In order)

1- T.O.-He is the MVP to this team. Without him the offense falls apart.

2-Ware- A premier pass rusher and yet still very strong against the run. One of the most complete players in the NFL.

3-Romo- Top 5 QB in the league. Great leader and the team loves him. Needs to take the next step with a playoff win.

4-Newman- Still under rated by many across the league. Ask Steve Smith from the Panthers about Newman.

5-Witten- Dude is straight up old school my favourite current player. Great pass catcher and is Romo's safety value.

6-F. Adams- Pro Bowl LT. At times can be dominate, but has the odd "off" game.

7-Davis- DOMINANT RG in the run game, solid in pass protection. Pro bowler.

8-Barber- Although I am not a personal fan of his its hard to argue with his productivity and heart.

9-Gurode-If this guy could learn how to snap in the shotgun he would be stellar.

10-PacMan- If he makes it back its hard to argue with his talent. Newman and him on the field together is scary. Can't wait to see him in the return game as well.

I'll take a stab at the Pack...

1. Aaron Kampman - Best Defensive Lineman on the team and has a motor that won't quit

2. Nick Barnett - Tackle machine who's all over the field

3. Chad Clifton - Underrated LT whose a stud in pass protection

4. Donald Driver - Getting up there in years but is a smart player and still a go to guy for moving the chains.

5. Greg Jennings - Great season last year and should only get better. Will probably overtake Driver soon as the #1

6. Charles Woodson - Rejuvenated his career in GB and I feel is slightly better than Harris

7. Mark Tauscher - Very good offensive lineman and along with Clifton anchor a line with suspect guards

8. Ryan Grant - Could easily be #1 or #2 on this list at the end of the year but I'd like to see how he does without Favre

9. Ryan Pickett - His value doesn't show up in his numbers but he's a brick wall against the run.

10. Al Harris - Despite being torched by Plax, Harris is still a very good cover corner.

Colts:

Peyton Manning - no explanation needed

Dwight Freeney - just watch the two Colts games vs. the Chargers last season - one with Freeney, one without - and it is clear how valuable he is.

Bob Sanders - tough call vs. Freeney IMO, but the playoff loss sticks in my mind in terms of no pass rush

Reggie Wayne - Has improved every year

Jeff Saturday - I think he's very good, but now might be a slight bit overrated.

Joseph Addai - He's good, but not sure that he can be a workhorse back. Getting Rhodes back will help

Gary Brackett - Was great last season.

Robert Mathis - He makes plays (though, more plays when Freeney is on the other side)

Tony Ugoh - Really impressed as a rookie - should get better this year

Dallas Clark - If he was a better blocker, he'd be higher.

Just missed:

Marvin Harrison - This is based on now, not his career. Hard to know if his heart is in it, and how injuries and age and other issues will affect him.

Texans

1. Andre Johnson

2. Demeco Ryans

3. Mario Williams

4. Dunta Robinson

5. Eric Winston

6. Matt Schaub

7. Owen Daniels

8. Morlon Greenwood

9. Amobi Okoye

10. Sage Rosenfels

Didn't include rookies since we haven't seen them on the field yet, but I would imagine Brown will bump someone off. Also giving Okoye some benefit of the doubt that he just hit the rookie wall last year.

Detroit Lions:1. Roy Williams, WR2. Calvin Johnson, WR3. Ernie Sims, LBdamn - this is tough4. Jeff Backus, OT5. Jon Kitna, QB6. Cory Redding, DTummm, ummmm . . .7. Dewayne White, DE8. Shaun Codyhmmm - maybe a rookie9. Gosder Cherilusto hell with it10. Jason HansonGod I hate Matt Millen :kicksrock:
I think Leigh Bodden could probably make this list... in place of the rookie perhaps.

St.Louis Rams

1. Steven Jackson - hopefully he can stay healthy and more of the team can bring his nasty attitude to the field.

2. Tory Holt - slowed down quite a bit but if the knees are good he is great

3. Orlando Pace - also getting older but still a force

4. Marc Bulger - deadly accurate....sometimes

5. O.J. Atogwe - The only playmaker on this defense...will get beat but is a ball hawk

6. Leonard Little - still has a little left in the tank

7. Chris Long - Hopefully will be higher on this list by mid season

8. Will Witherspoon - too small for MLB but can run run run

9. Adam Carriker - turned in a fine rookie season

10. Tye Hill - never healthy but plays well when he is

That was very difficult and made me sad.

Basically they have Steven Jackson, some old dudes, and some young guys who may or may not be any good.

Revis should be higher. He could be #1 or #2 by the end of 2008.

very true. I modified the rankings. It bothered me he was that low.

Here are the Chefs, but it's going to be tough to get 10!!!

1. LJ... even though he is coming off of an injury last year, he is still the face of the franchise (along with Tony G.). He gives the Chefs the best chance to win games.

2. Tony G. The all-time NFL leader in TD's for a TE... He still played really well last year, despite a very enimic offense.

3. Derrick Johnson... one of the most athletic LB's in the NFL, who had an outstanding rookie campaign, despite tailing off a little bit last year. He had a ton of tackles in the backfield last year, but was caught out of position a few times... I look for him to rebound in '08, and be considered a pro bowler this year or in '09.

4. Dustin Colquitt... yeah, the punter is in the top 4... no need to elaborate.

5. Dwayne Bowe.. superstud in the making...imho... he made spectacular catches in his rookie year, but also had a slight case of the dropsies.. was 1 of the main stories last year for a pitiful Chefs offense...needs to show he can get better in year 2, which I think he could... based on potential, could be ranked #2 or #3 in my list.

6. Tamba Hali... in '08, he is moving over to Right DE ( Allen's old spot )... expecting a big year from him, as he lead the team in sacks his rookie year, and finished 2nd last year only to Allen in that category.. not having a TE on his side of the ball 80% of the plays should free him up.

7. Jarrad Page... playmaker in the back half of the secondary with a great nose for the football.... has been caught out of position though on tackling plays last year... needs to sure that piece of his game up.

8. Brian Waters... the best OL the Chefs have on their roster, but was sketchy last year... I don't believe it was b/c of a drop off in talent...rather no one else to help him on the line

9. Glenn Dorsey... considered one of the best players to come out of the '08 draft, but i guess time will tell...given the past history of DT's the Chefs have drafted over the past couple years (i.e. Savii, Sims, Browing, Downing, etc), it's tough to get excited just yet, but I have a strong feeling that he is going to be a special player..

10. Brodie Croyle.. I know I may get a number of eyes rolling on this one, but he did show flashes of good play last year.. IF the OL was better, we may have seen much more out of him. Let's give him some time to throw, along with a running game, and then make assessments.

Cardinals

1. Anquan Boldin

2. Larry Fitzgerald

3. Karlos Dansby

4. Darnell Dockett

5. Adrian Wilson

6. Edgerrin James

7. Kurt Warner

8. Neil Rackers

9. Levi Brown

10. Bertrand Berry (only this far down because of he's injury prone)

I actually think Stewart Bradley will be a better LB than Gaither. He looked really good when he got a chance last year.I also think Sheppard is better than Brown. Although with the injury risk I guess you have to downgrade him.

Cowboys

1. DeMarcus Ware - 84 tackles, 14 sacks, 4 passes defended and 4 forced fumbles in 07.

2. Tony Romo - A top-5 player at the most important position on the field.

3. Jason Witten - Top receiving threat on the team.

4. Leonard Davis - After Hutchinson, there might not be a better guard in the league.

5. Terrell Owens - Stats are always high, but so are drops.

6. Terrance Newman - Best corner on the team by far, lack of big plays only minus.

7. Flozell Adams - Penalities hurt him, but still a good LT.

8. Marion Barber - Has been great in limited role; must prove he can carry the load.

9. Bradie James - Solid MLB.

10. Mat McBriar - Yearly top-5 punter.

...

11. Ken Hamlin

12. Andre Gurode

13. Nick Folk

14. Chris Canty

15. Anthony Henry

Chicago Bears

1) Brian Urlacher - 'Nuff said.

2) Olin Kreutz - Leader of the offense, a tough and mean SOB, and one of the top centers in the game. His play did slip a little last year, but I expect him to rebound in 08.

3) Devin Hester - The best KR/PR in the league, and could very shortly be the best of all time (if he isn't already).

4) Lance Briggs - All he does is make tackles. A perfect compliment to Urlacher.

5) Tommie Harris - One of the better DTs in the league, and he's only 24. Hopefully he won't continue to have hamstring issues...

6) Robbie Gould - The most accurate kicker in Bear's history, and makes FGs in the clutch. When your offense has trouble moving the ball, having a kicker that can get something out of stalled drives is key.

7) Charles Tillman - A very good Cover-2 CB. Has 332 tackles and 17 INTs in the last five seasons.

8) Nathan Vasher - The team's other good CB. Doesn't make as many tackles as Tillman, but has 17 INTs in four seasons.

9) Alex Brown - A well-rounded DE, does a lot of things well, but isn't great at anything. 30 sacks, 13 FF, and 6 FR in five seasons.

10) Desmond Clark - Just like Brown, he's a player that does a lot of things well, but isn't great at anything. Has brought stability and production to the TE position that was a relative black hole for the team for years.

I think they could be but for Rivers, I don't think you can put a guy that's never played in the NFL on the list. For Hall, only one year to go on and he was beat plenty of times. I think he will be great... but he's not there yet.

The Oakland Raiders

1. Nnamdi Asomugha

2. Derrick Burgess

3. DeAngelo Hall

4. Tom Cable (*)

5. Kirk Morrison

6. Darren McFadden (?)

7. Gibril Wilson

8. Zach Miller

9. JaMarcus Russell (?)

10. Thomas Howard

Philadelphia Eagles

Brian Westbrook

Shawn Andrews

John Runyan

Donovan McNabb

Trent Cole

Asante Samuel

Litto Sheppard

Sheldon Brown

Omar Gaither

Brian Dawkins
Pretty good list BB; I would have just a few tweaks:
Brian Westbrook -- The team's offensive linchpin for years
Shawn Andrews -- One of the most dominant guards in the game; and still young
Donovan McNabb -- 5 time Pro Bowler and the cornerstone of this era
Asante Samuel -- Big Play corner and paid huge $$$ for his value
Trent Cole -- Tireless pass rusher, and not as bad vs. the run as some think
Lito Sheppard -- Injuries only thing that keeps him from being higher
Jon Runyan -- A mauler and tough as nails but nearing the end
Stewart Bradley -- We have a new star at the LB position; the world just doesn't know it yet
Brian Dawkins -- Sentimental pick; can't keep him out of the top 10 [sheldon Brown should probably be listed here]
Mike Patterson -- Patterson is much better than Eagles fans give him credit for; and with improvement around him, we'll see that in 08

Eagles Fan

I dont get the McNabb love. Seems to me the Phi QB (McNabb, Garcia, Feeley, Detmer) is valuable, I dont see the DMac part, sorry. Dont get me wrong, DMac is an amazing talent, I love him and have his jersey. That said, we havnt lost steps when other QBs have replaced him.

1. Brian Westbrook - nothing needed

2. Jon Runyan - started all 16 games in all 8 years with Philly (and all 16 3 years with Oilers/Titans)

3. Asante Samuel - ball hawking DBs required in JJ's blitzing scheme's

4. Trent Cole - the little engine (even at 6'5) that does

5. Mike Patterson - young quality stuffing DT

6. Dawkins - more for his leadership role than physical skills ... not discounting pounding hits he puts on offensive players

7. Kevin Curtis - Reids offense requires a Y to spread the defense

8. Chris Gocong - More of a hunch than proven at this point

9. LJ Smith - Moves way up if stays healthy

... can I put TO at 10?

10. Sheldon Brown - Needs to prove he can be a premier corner in the league

1. Aaron Kampman

2. Nick Barnett

3. Mark Tauscher

4. Charles Woodson

5. Greg Jennings

6. Donald Driver

7. A.J Hawk

8. Donald Lee

9. Ryan Pickett

10. Ryan Grant

The Chiefs are pretty hard to rank. They have some great incoming young talent and are generally very young, so the extremely proven players are few and far between. Of those (2+ years experience, minimum), I'd rank them as follows:

1. Tony Gonzalez

2. Derrick Johnson

3. Larry Johnson

4. Brian Waters

5. Tamba Hali

6. Donnie Edwards

7. Damion McIntosh

8. Patrick Surtain

9. Napolean Harris

10. Alfonso Boone

Obviously there's guys like Dwayne Bowe, Bernard Pollard and Jarrad Page who've all shown something in some way or another, and then there's the draft class, so this thread would work better for KC at this time next year. I would expect the top five to include Gonzalez (just doesn't look to be slowing down), both Johnsons, Bowe and Glenn Dorsey.

Buffalo

I am not going to include players that have never played an NFL down, although I am high on McKelvin and Hardy.

Pretty sad that a punter and a backup QB make the list:

RB Marshawn Lynch

WR Lee Evans

T Jason Peters

DE Aaron Schobel

DT Marcus Stroud

S Donte Whitner

CB Terrence McGee

LB Paul Posluzny

P Brian Moorman

QB JP Losman

Interesting to see Bankerguy's and LarryAllen's slightly different perspective on this. I have a 3rd although it's closer to Larry's.

1. Ware

2. Romo

3. Witten

4. Davis

5. Owens

6. Newman

7. Barber

8. Adams

9. Gurode

10. Hamlin

I like your list better then Larry Allen's as Brady James is an average player. Ware is the most important player in the franchise. My comment of T.O. being the most "valuable" is that if this team lost 1 player.....the one that would have the greatest effect would be T.O. Just my .02. I am surprised neither of you addressed the PacMan topic? Are you assuming he is not re-instated?

Tennessee Titans:1. Haynesworth, Albert DT 2. Bulluck, Keith OLB 3. Young, Vince QB 4. Vanden Bosch, Kyle DE 5. Roos, Michael T 6. Mawae, Kevin C 7. Thornton, David OLB 8. Finnegan, Cortland CB 9. Scott, Jake T 10t. Griffin, Michael FS 10t. Harper, Nick CB The order is tough after Haynesworth and Bulluck. Some will argue with VY as #3, but he's there IMO. Notice, 7 on D, 3 on the OL, and the only O-skill player is VY. Crumpler could make this list, I think Johnson will soon too.
Interesting. If you look at it like "whose absence would affect the game the most" I think the list might look more like...1. HAynesworth2. Roos3. KVB4. Young5. Bulluck6. Finnegan7. Griffin8. Mawae9. Harper10. Stewart

Giants:

Manning

Burress

Diehl

Toomer

Ohara

Feagles

The order is probably off. I'm assuming Strahan is retired and maybe Tuck gets thrown in there somewhere.

Dang no brownnie fans around so far?

1.Thomas LT (No one turned us around better then him. Steller and consistancy! what a steal pick last year!

2.J. Lewis Was the other piece of the missing puzzle. He does so many little things besides running the ball too!

3.Wimpley Now we are getting the pieces around him put together this dude is really going to shine!

4.Winslow When the game gets on the line he really stands out!

5.Edwards Sometimes slacks off but defenses have to worry!

6.Cribbs His returning skills are under rated. He's up there with Hester.

7.E. Wright Makes plays when we need them in secondary. Silently shut down the opponets WR-1 most weeks.

8.Vickers Might turn into leagues best Fullback over time!

9.A. Davis Been a fixture in the middle for years. Should benefit even more with Rodgers and Williams additions.

10. Anderson He made pro bowl. Though I think 4 and 5 above made him look better then he really is. I think Quinn is gonna surprise you all sonner then you think!

Seattle. Interesting that so many defenders came to mind first on a team that's been known for offense the last few years. But with Jackson, SA, Brown(stain), Hutchinson and Stevens gone and Strong and Tobeck retired (Gray is half retired this year) only Matt and Engram are left, though both have elevated their game with the departures.

1. Walter Jones- Has slowed in age a bit but that only makes him top 3 in the league instead of #1.

2. Lofa Tatupu- Doubt the DUI is indicative of any pending breakdown. Super smart, fastidious prepper, and physical player. The defensive general and damn good at it.

3. Matt Hasselbeck- Still prone to game management breakdowns but improves yearly.

4. Julian Peterson- Physical phreak. Tatupu's smarter though.

5. Marcus Trufant- Improving yearly, especially now with two low key but highly effective safeties behind him.

6. Bobby Engram- Last year's numbers were a fluke that might repeat this year with the WR situation in a mess. But he's been Matt's favorite target for years and has extremely dependable hands, plus he just gets open. Matt can throw to him blindfolded and his play is visibly worse when Engram is not dressed for the game.

7. Patrick Kerney- Ran out of steam last year and got most of his sacks in just 3 or 4 games. Adding L Jackson should keep him rested for the whole season.

8. LeRoy Hill- A very sneaky, underrated LB because he plays with Peterson and Tatupu. He could be the best LB on a third of the other teams He's in Lofa's draft class and has started since game 1 his rookie season. He's had some injuries but is absolutely solid though unknown.

9. Jordan Babineaux- Big Play Babs has had some killer big plays throughout the seasons, including chasing down Romo after the flub. He's a very good extra DB and ST guy and just always comes up big for the Hawks.

10. Sean Locklear- Not spectacular but a solid RT who's played since his rookie year. Suffered from lack of a good RG last year and will never be mistaken for Walter, but he's a great RT.

Honorable mentions: Burleson (too inconsistent), Tubbs (never healthy), the safeties (never heard "Seattle safety got beat for a long TD" last year), Rocky Bernard (probably Bernard deserves 10), Jennings (just a solid CB), and Daryl Tapp (youngster faded with injury but should make the top ten next year)

Eagles FanI dont get the McNabb love. Seems to me the Phi QB (McNabb, Garcia, Feeley, Detmer) is valuable, I dont see the DMac part, sorry. Dont get me wrong, DMac is an amazing talent, I love him and have his jersey. That said, we havnt lost steps when other QBs have replaced him.1. Brian Westbrook - nothing needed2. Jon Runyan - started all 16 games in all 8 years with Philly (and all 16 3 years with Oilers/Titans)3. Asante Samuel - ball hawking DBs required in JJ's blitzing scheme's4. Trent Cole - the little engine (even at 6'5) that does5. Mike Patterson - young quality stuffing DT6. Dawkins - more for his leadership role than physical skills ... not discounting pounding hits he puts on offensive players7. Kevin Curtis - Reids offense requires a Y to spread the defense8. Chris Gocong - More of a hunch than proven at this point9. LJ Smith - Moves way up if stays healthy... can I put TO at 10?10. Sheldon Brown - Needs to prove he can be a premier corner in the league
There's no way you can leave Shawn Andrews off the list. He's easily top 3 on the Eagles. Every time they play an out of conference game the AFC coach says he's the best guard they face all year.

Just great!!

Pats:

1) Brady-The Franchise.

2) Moss-A threat to go the distance every time he's on the field.

3) Wilfork-The 3-4 doesn't work w/o a NT and he's a stud.

4) Vrabel-BB calls him the smartest player he's ever coached.

5) Mankins-Will be a perennial Pro Bowler.

6) Warren-Seymour has the name but Warren makes the plays.

7) Koppen-The glue of a topnotch O Line.

8) Thomas-Was expecting more but he can still play.

9) Welker-The prototypical slot WR...and a good punt returner.

10) Light/Harrison-Light's a steady pro and while Rodney's slowing down he still brings it every game.

Seymour has not played well in two years (i.e. since he got his new deal). He has been banged up but he has been nearly invisible for many games. If he regains his form than he can move up as high as #2 but I need to see actual production not reputation.

 funny thing also...precious few non-Eagles fans would leave McNabb off this list entirely. that's sad.

Washington Redskins:

1) Chris Samuels - Speaks for itself

2) Clinton Portis - Speaks for itself

3) London Fletcher - Very underrated player, should easily have made a few pro bowls, but due to his size goes unnoticed. Turned our D around.

4) Chris Cooley - One of the top 5 TE's in the league. Great at YAC and finding soft spots in zone coverage.

5) Laron Landry - Could be the best player on our team after this year.

6) Shawn Springs - When healthy is still a shutdown corner (unless we are playing Seattle).

7) Andre Carter - After converting back to DE from OLB (in San Fran) has added a much needed pass rush.

8) Fred Smoot - Came on very strong this year for us and is a phenomenal #2 in our system

9) Santana Moss - I don't really know where to put Santana, but I do feel he is one of our best players...even if it's not in FF.

10) Anthony Montgomery - Young, large DT that is really starting to perform.

11) Randy Thomas - one of the best pulling guards in the league, unfortunately has been injured as of late.

RIP #21, you were clearly our best.

Love that you included Diehl although I don't think O'Hara or Feagles deserve mention. Feagles average is terrible. The announcers love to trumpet how he leads the league in dropping the ball inside the 20. They conveniently forget Feagles has been around forever and probably has a couple hundred more punts than anyone lese in the league. No way Toomer warrants mention on the list and I'm a fan of the guy. No Shockey?
