If you're watching TTV for old shows it might work forever, but, I wouldn't count on it finding any episodes or new shows past September 30, 2018. I think that's what NitroXenon meant when he said it's going to stop working after September. It already has stopped working after September.
Nobody is going to take over and patch TTV under the Terrarium name because it's under fire. It's going to be like 1Channel/Genesis/Exodus/Etc./Etc. was in Kodi. We're going to have to find out who and where someone cloned TTV and remade it. Or another APK altogether. That's why I was so bumbed Morpheus went #### up at the same time, that was my fall back plan.

Yes it did.
But assuming they didn't, when do they show up? When available? Why has FTWD been listing 15 episodes, and only 15 episodes, for the past 2 weeks. Because episode 16 is in October. Why did American Horror only list 3 episodes last night when e3 came out tonight.

No idea, but why would it be able to scrape old episodes and not new. They are all hosted on the same sites.

I have been using TTV almost exclusively for TV for over a year now and each episode of a “new” series isn’t listed but shows up when it’s released... unlike Kodi where unreleased episodes are listed but a different color. I know this because I’d always duck in and look for it to show up. Castle rock and Mayans are two examples ive been doing this with recently.
Sorry but you either have an atypical build or you’re wrong here.

Agree with @[icon] here. I don't recall seeing any new episodes on the list until they have been released. That was actually a feature I liked about TTV. I'd rather not read future synopsis or titles. I'm fine just seeing them as they are released. We'll know for sure next week, but so far I haven't seen Troy's version act any differently than before.
I'm just the opposite, I like to read the synopsis ahead of time and do it all the time on TTV. And I've been using Troy's version too. I noticed over two weeks ago when this all went down that FTWD was only showing 15 episodes and I was expecting 16. And it would be one hell of a coincidence that every show I checked several days ago (some with episodes still before and after Sept 30 like AHS) and every single one stopped with number of episodes ending in September.Agree with @[icon] here. I hope to hell I'm wrong here and will be very glad to put the bag over my head on Tuesday morning if BCS episode #9 is available. In the mean time I'm going to ferret out what the best alternative is and will post it here.
A simple line of code in TTV to not search for new content after Sept 30? That's easy. And it would be an easy fix too so I shouldn't be too worried.
What doesn't make sense is why NitroXenon stipulated that it would stop working after September. But he clearly did. Why not just shut it down completely?
Can you confirm whether or not any episodes show up after September with this unchecked?
I guess it's possible that I always had it unchecked and maybe the newest patched version from Troy has it checked. :crossfingers:

I would assume any replacement to come from the ashes will be posted there. It seems like right now, nobody knows what is going to happen after 9/30. The scrapers may slowly stop working. The original dev may have a "killswitch" that disables the entire app. Nobody seems to know for sure.

I guess that's what made me paranoid. He definitely said after September and what does that mean. The unpatched version basically stopped working with his update so it's logical to think something else might happen. My guess is nothing happens.
For a long time I used a version that wasn't Troy's. I must have just recently noticed Troy's was different.
My mistake, sorry about the todo about nothing. I'm just glad it's nothing.

The rumors that TTV would suddenly stop working after 9/30 appear to be false as it is still working this morning. The patched version appears to only be a temp solution, however. Some people still believe that the original dev has a kill switch for it, and he also threatened to collect and report any IPs still using TTV.
The long term solution appears to be Apollo TV which is still in development. Until then, these options all work as of now.

From reddit. This is specifically for netgear routers, but others should have similar methods. This eliminates the need for clunky mouse apps within your firestick. It blocks the IP at your router.
Log in to the netgear admin page (192.168.1.1 or could be 192.168.0.1 etc)
Click on Advanced Setup
Click on static routes
Add new route
Route name = ttvfix (can be anything)
Destination IP Address = 172.64.104.18
IP subnet mask = 255.255.255.255
Gateway IP Address = your router's IP
Metric = 2
repeat the above and add the second destination IP = 172.64.105.18
Click apply. You can test this now on any machine on your network and see if you can ping 172.64.104.18 or 172.64.105.18. Both should fail.
Your modded app will now launch.

Morpheus still working great for me. Something else will come out soon. To be honest though I use Netflix and Hulu much more now with Terrarium gone. Lots of great stuff and it keeps my TV time occupied. I really only used Terrarium for old series that were not readily available anywhere else. Will miss not being able to watch Australian and New Zealand survivor though.

Guys. The post Spin added above makes Terrarium work again. Best I can tell, it just makes it bypass the kill switch that stops it from launching the app, which is all that is keeping it from working.

I'm seeing that you can white list your VPN app in Blokada so it will work. Haven't tried it yet.
