Terrell Owens has made some controversial comments before but he's never been Off The Record.

The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver will appear in an exclusive two-part interview on Off The Record with Michael Landsberg on Tuesday and Wednesday at 6pm et/3pm pt.

On Tuesday, Owens discusses his past two seasons in Philadelphia, where he solidified his status as one of the premier wide-outs in the National Football League. He also offers his definition of a 'team player', after reflecting on controversies that arose in a public feud with quarterback Donovan McNabb.

On Wednesday, Owens shifts his focus to the future after being released by Philadelphia and signed by the Dallas Cowboys this past March. Owens compares former teammate McNabb to new quarterback Drew Bledsoe, and outlines his anticipation for his return to Philadelphia on October 8, which he refers to as '10/8'.

"I'm looking forward to it," Owens said. "I need to try to to see if I can strike up a deal so we can get some pay-per-views so I can get some royalties off it because it will probably be the most watched football game in America."

Known for his creative, if somewhat controversial, touchdown celebrations, Owens also delves into his relationship with new head coach Bill Parcells.

The Next Question segments explore TO's lighter side, questioning Owens on the Hollywood star he would choose to portray himself on the silver screen, how many sit-ups he did during his impromptu driveway media conference, and just what exactly was Nicolette Sheridan wearing under her towel during the now famous Monday Night Football opening segment.

Tune in to TSN's Off The Record on Tuesday, July 25th and Wednesday 26th for the exclusive two-part interview with Terrell Owens. Encore presentations can be seen at 3am et/Midnight pt and Noon et/9am pt.

TO is a great player but he just needs to shut his mouth and go away for a while.
I definitely agree with this. That said, I do have to wonder whether he would be as good as he is if he didn't act this way...

The best question was in the rapid fire segment. Lansberg asks:

So who is the better QB? A. Randle-El or Jeff Garcia?

T.O. says: (Laughing) Next question.

You guys are just all TO haters. The more you hate him the more I want him to succeed.

GO T.O.
I'm with you, I like the guy but he's a crazy mofo
You wouldn't like him if you were a 49er or Eagle fan.
I am a Niner fan.
I am too, pretty surprised you still like this guy after all the headache he gave Mariucci and Garcia.
I think you are forgetting that TO was the victim there. If you don't believe him, just ask him.

He did cause ALOT of headache, but he also did some great things while he was here.

wtf is an Owens thread doing way back on page 3?? blasphemy against the great one!

bump
:excited: colin cowherd interviewed reggie brown today and asked him if thats all people wanted to ask him about last year. then proceeded to still ask him all t.o.-related questions in the interview.

Here you go Big Red....

Maybe he's not so bad after all. Maybe Garcia and McNabb do suck. Maybe the Eagles are cheap.

Owens surprises teammates

Cowboys' new receiver greets team plane in California

By TOM ORSBORN

POINT MUGU, CALIF. - It didn't take long for Terrell Owens to surprise his new teammates.

In a move that once again put him at the center of attention, Owens greeted the Dallas Cowboys' charter upon its arrival at Naval Base Ventura County.

Players have the option of traveling to training camp via the charter or on their own. Owens chose the later.

But rather than drive to the team hotel in Oxnard, Owens joined the Cowboys in nearby Point Mugu, departing from an SUV rather than an American Airlines jet.

"I'm part of the team," Owens said when asked why he went out of his way to meet the team on the tarmac.

"I'm no different than anybody else. Obviously, the media, they'll label you a star, they'll label you a little bit different than the other guys on the team, but I've always felt like part of the team. And this is my team."

Running back Julius Jones said Owens' decision earned him points.

"He's being a team player, and that's big," Jones said. "He made a good impression."

Looking casual in a backward white cap, silver and black shorts and a form-fitting, long-sleeve black shirt, Owens played to the fans at the base by walking slowly to the jet and waving at the team's cheerleaders as they left the plane.

He also hugged several players and slapped hands with team officials.

"He's a likeable guy," Jones said of Owens. "I like him. I don't have anything against him."

Owens' upbeat attitude stood in stark contrast to his behavior last season in Philadelphia, where he was suspended at midseason by coach Andy Reid after a series of incidents.

The Eagles released Owens in March, freeing him to sign a three-year, $25 million contract with the Cowboys.

"I'm very excited (about training camp)," Owens said. "I put a lot of things behind me.

"From day one, from today on, it's straight focusing on football, putting the cleats and the pads back on and let's get at it."

Owens said his fresh start has him feeling like a rookie reporting to his first camp.

"But this is not my first rodeo," he said. "I will get through this fine. Once we start camp, it will be like any other camp."

The fun begins Saturday with the first two-a-day workouts.

Today's schedule includes physical conditioning tests and a news conference with coach Bill Parcells and owner/general manager Jerry Jones.
