Terror Attack in Quebec (1 Viewer)

"Student accused of shooting dead six people at a Quebec mosque 'rented an apartment close to the Islamic center more than six months ago"

He has probably been planning an attack for some time, but only the idiots think Trump had anything to do with this.
Did you pull your shoulder on this stretch?

He's obviously a mole planted by trump years ago.  diabolical.

Does Canada get its name added to the list of countries with an immigration ban?  Maybe we need to restrict immigration for people who support Trump.  I don't want this kind of violent extremism making its way to America.

I think the stretch is blaming Trump at all.
Meh, if Trump and the people he surrounds himself with want to lump all Muslims in together, I don't have a problem with this alt-right shooter being lumped with all the other alt-right Trumpers. #### em, they're far more dangerous than the Muslim population.

I agree to a point. However, it really isn't an apples to apples comparison. Would you say the alt-right Trumpers are far more dangerous than the radical Muslims? I think that's a much closer comparison.

Sure, there's lots of degrees.

Least dangerous - Your average Muslim/Your average right leaning person

More dangerous - Your average alt-right/Trumpite - because these people are legitimizing and spreading hate and division even if they aren't acting on it.

Most dangerous - Radical Muslims/Radical alt-right (which at that level you can actually call Nazi's - Richard Spencer and the like) - Acting/actively promoting hate and violence on others.

Your logic is about as poor as tim's
Black person kills a white guy and conservatives rage that it's not reported as a hate crime.

White guy mass murders a group of people based on a political agenda and go out of their way to not refer to it as terrorism.

Of course it would be longer as it should be.
Well, I would hope there would be similar outrage no matter what.

Can we at least agree on this point: these incidents are bad and if we don't all learn to get along and respect each other they aren't going to stop. It's just going to be retaliation after retaliation.

And this point I know you won't agree but maybe just maybe the Trump EO combined with the statement the Canadian PM made about accepting refugees could have had something to do with this...especially if the guy has been shown to admire Trump as the reports have been.

Again, this is not an apples to apples comparison. I think the outrage stems from the fact that we have seen whites kill blacks and it's a hate crime. Black kills white, and it's not a hate crime.

If a single white guy kills people, I think it's different than a group killing people. I'd be much quicker to call killings from the KKK terrorism than I would some single guy in Missisippi for example.

Color has nothing to do with it IMO.

I guess it depends on who was calling it that and what is meant by "instantly". The shooter himself said he was part of ISIL.
Yeah but he had no real ties to them. He wasn't flying out there to meet them or even talking to them on the internet.  He just vocalized his allegiance to them.  I would bet this "lone wolf" guy in Canada has spent more time chatting with fellow like-minded individuals on Stormfront than Mateen did on muslimterrorists.org.

So you are asking people to question whether a guy proclaiming terroristic ties is telling the truth before calling it an act of terrorism? Seems kind of odd to me.

Yes, I know you were happy to find out this was a white person who liked Trump.
