Terry Glenn (1 Viewer)

Am I missing something? I've read that he's practiced all week and is good to go. I realize Romo favors T.O. where Bledsoe favored Glenn, but he's ranked so low on the weekly cheetsheet that I thought he was left off by mistake. He's ranked down in the high fifties, with waiver wire fodder that are barely worth even rostering in a large league.

I wouldn't expect a return to his early season performance, but against the porous colts defense, he's certainly a better option then Cedrick Wilson, Matt Jones, Santonio Holmes, and several other recievers ranked well above him.

WHAT AM I MISSING?

Terry Glenn did not play in week 10 due to his knee injury issue. He's "probable" again this week, just like he was last week, so he's a gamble to start because its 50/50 he might not even play. He's on my bench this week since I have some WR depth. Cant afford a 0 in a lineup spot.

Everything I've read points to him probably playing this week, in which case Randy Moss & Matt Jones will be sitting for him on my team. 50's is too low.

I think the ranking is based on a combination of factors

- Glenn missed last week's game

- Glenn's got some issues in his knee and this will be our first game-look at the knee

- Glenn isn't getting the looks under Romo he did under Bledsoe

- The Indy D is 2nd best in the NFL in passing yards allowed

- The Indy D is #1 in fewest Fantasy Points Allowed to WR (12.7 per FBG)

- The Indy D stinks at Rush Defense, so FBG and everyone else expects Dallas to pound Jones and Barber at them relentlessly

I own Glenn. In two leagues and the FBG Subscriber contest. But I traded some RB depth for a better WR this week because I don't see Glenn being terribly reliable the rest of the way.

there's also bone on bone rumors and in the play that he ran in practice that he tweaked the knee he didn't do anything that looked like it should have hurt the knee. He's a major risk to reinjure the knee during a game, IMO. So if this is bone on bone, Glenn will have to decide in the off season how much pain he is willing to live with for the rest of his life, or until medical technology gets good enough to replace knee cartiledge effectively.

Everyone knows the Colts run defense is terrible, but they are #2 in the NFL against the pass. Just something to think about when debating starting Glenn.

Now that was a good post. Take note sharks. Having said that, I will probably start Glenn over Berrian in 1 league (still undecided), but if I had my druthers, I'd sit him the remainder of the year, or as long as Romo is the QB. He seems to only look TO's way.

I'm honored, JohnnyU.I'd start Glenn over Berrian too.

Unless Berrian was 100%.

I've considered all of the reasons mentioned, and agree that Glenn is not likely to have a big week, but a ranking in the fifties??????

Thirties, maybe even low thirties, I can see.

JMO. Low thirties will be about right once he's healthy again. This week with the injury, fifty is about right. You have to keep in mind that the projections between #30 WR and #50 WR aren't that much different.
