Texans at Chargers Monday Night Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Brown looking good on this drive. Wrs did a great job bailing out Rivers. Another good drive by Chargers.

I know there is no such thing as defensive pass interference on a pass behind the line of scrimmage. Not sure if that is the case for OPI as well. If so, I'm guessing that's why they huddled and picked it up... checked to see where he caught the ball and it was behind the LOS so picked up the flag.

Question is whether or not Royal is worth picking up off of waivers. HArd to imagine he'll continue to get this much work as the younger WRs get more reps and improve, and hard to imagine SD will play this well every week. They may be better than expected but I don't see them hanging 28+ very often

The flag they picked up was for offensive pass interference.
Looked like ineligible player downfield to me... saw one ref doing the hand on top of the hat motion. Makes sense since half the line was a couple of yards downfield when Rivers threw it, but I think that just had to do with the horrible pass rush.

Im hoping people in my league put in waivers for him over Julius Thomas, Marlon Brown, and a couple others. Thats for sure.

Mathews was in for the first 2 plays of the drive. Brown went on for the 3rd down and then it looked like SD went hurry up. Im thinking Brown was doing well and there wasnt any time to rotate in.

Okay I give up on my AJ hopes, I'll shut up now :)

Oh, and #### you Roddy White's ankle.

probably worthy of a roster spot and WW bid....but I can't see spending more than 4-5% for him right now as a 3rd or 4th option if outbid elsewhere. Any SD insiders have more insight here?

Didn't want to jinx it on this drive but I have been encouraged by how Schaub has looked so far. Much improved over the end of last year.

Three years ago I'd have thought Texans had no chance to come back in this kind of situation.

Odds are still against them clearly, but the team knows they can come back from stuff like this now. It's at least a possibility now. A few years back it wouldn't have been.

MT, how do you feel about the play of San Diego's O-line?

I thought Houston was going to get a lot more pressure than they have, even with Antonio Smith out.
