**Texans at Panthers** (+2.5, 35) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

I think the Panthers are doing a great job for Bears fans, and that continues this week. Its early, and obviously situation matters, but so far, it sure looks like Carolina made the wrong choice at #1.

I'm expecting teams to do a better job against Thielen and that starts this week. I don't see the Panthers doing much on offense, and likely having multiple turnovers. Be interesting if Will Anderson (the #3 pick) also has a great game, just to really rub it in.

I think the Texans are a wildcard level team, and honestly could give the Jags a run. I've been so impressed by CJ Stroud. I think this is a bombs away week against a really bad Panthers secondary. I think Tank Dell and especially Nico Collins could have monster games, with the running game salting it away late.

I'll say Texans win 27-10.

Little known fact: This week Bryce Young is probably opposed by the NFL quarterback who has taken the most snaps against him as a cornerback.

They played each other in 8th grade football, when CJ was playing corner.

Surprising Houston against winless Carolina.
I think The Texans can keep it up here.
Possibility this turns into a "Fantasy Goldmine" game.
I think Houston jumps out to an early advantage keeps on keeping on.
Nostradumbass will say...

Best Team in Texas- 34
Chicago Bears Favorite Team- 23

I truly hate the NFL schedule. Living in Texans, let the Cowboys overlord the state when they and the Texans play at the same time. I truly hate that they always do this.

I hope the Cowboys lose by 50 for this each time.

I'm guessing Chuba Hubbard hasn't really had 3 rushes for 243 yards and 1 TD this season like the graphic said.

This snoozefest is on my television on one section. I could have told you he was going to throw the ball to Thielen.

Carolina is just awful.

Tie game so far, but feel like the differentiator has been the Panthers pass rush getting more pressure than Houston's.

Booming punt by Texans. 70 yard change in field position.

I'm enjoying this game. Interesting subplot between Young v. Stroud. Plus, I'm a Texans and they've been rubbish for years so fun to see a resurgent squad.

Panthers get the ball with 57 seconds left. Use 37 of it getting a first down and then sacked to go to halftime, 7-6 Houston.

Texans showing full-fledged RBBC, including the RB3

Makes sense, playing one of the worst defenses against the run let’s not let our #1 guy get lots of carrys and get right finally but just constantly change it up rotating guys out.

Way to get that fullback involved Texans, he catches a pass on their starting drive in the 2nd half and fumbles it over to a defense that hadn’t gotten a single fumble so far this season.

Edit: Defense holds it to a FG

Singletary with a nice similar move two plays later, corner blitz, Singletary slips it and runs for 9 bringing Texans into the redzone.

Texans O’line cannot run block for anything. Fullback stuffed on 2nd & 1/goal, hit in the backfield. Pierce stuffed on 3rd and 1/goal, hit in the backfield. Stroud managed to sneak it in on 4th.

Greenard has been a massive surprise for the Texans. 3rd rounder DE in ‘20. Didn’t do much and injured last year. Blowing up under DeMeco this year.

Stroud has his 5th pass batted/tipped down this game, Carolina has figured something out with the Texans offense.

C Jared Patterson down for Houston. He's been a bright spot, late round rookie, 3rd string, but playing very well

Not able to see the game, but fans really upset with Slowik going with the old Bob Davie Run-Run-Pass-Punt offense is not encouraging.

Slowik is especially discouraging coming out from a bye looking like this. Worries me he’s already been figured out by the league.

I didn't like the deep pass on 2nd and 5. Would have rather run or a short pass and look to burn up the clock.

Carolina going for it on 4th, goes to Thielen. Great play call and definitely should have gone for it to have any chance to win the game.

Texans are going to blow this. 0-2 versus ATL and CAR is going to hurt those AFC South chances.

Texans definitely at least another year away. Lots of inexcusable poor play on offense today, defense played well but missed at key moments and were obviously frustrated at the end there with the personal foul and a 2nd offsides.

It’s all my fault for watching live finally.

dude, why didn't any of those count? Dumb rule

They have to blow it dead to prevent injury and after that you can’t predict what may or may not happen. A guy potentially could block it but maybe they stopped going/jumping up because they heard the whistle.

In theory, guys would be encouraged to blow up the kicker for example if not blown dead. In practice hopefully nobody goes for a cheap shot but sometimes emotions and frustration boil over. I mean that one Texan that hit the placeholder the first time clearly let his frustration get the best of him.
