Texans at Patriots (1 Viewer)

Vereen having himself a day
Guy looks like could be pretty darn good.
I wouldn't read too much into it. I'm sure he'll be good for NE but from a fantasy perspective, I'm not going to draft him. He is filling in for Gronk who will be back at some point and I don't trust BB. Only good thing is that Welker may be gone but Edelman will slot into that spot.
Hey Phil Simms brother is here. Uh, no Vereen isn't filling in for Gronk shockingly as he's about 8 inches shorter and plays a different position.
So you think Gronk going out has no effect on Vereen? Sure, he may not be replacing him exactly but either way, I doubt Vereen becomes a consistent stud like this. 4 TDs through 2 years, 3 TDs in one game. Not buying it.
Oh so you do know what position each plays? Strange post then as Gronk being out has little to do with Vereen playing more than Ridley. I'll assume you're watching the other game. Not sure where I said Vereen is a great option. Thought I said something about Vereen not replacing Gronk;)
Or for that matter then he is replacing Woodhead who will be back. And he was slotted out wide on the last play which I haven't seen Ridley slotted outside much if at all. And his added usage is b/c of injuries. All I remember was Simms saying that and I thought he said something about them saying that earlier in the week, either way, you jumped on me for a part of a comment while seemingly agreeing with the intent of my comment.
I always find it funny that guys with 1000s of posts are listening to Simms and don't actually know that it's Woodhead being out which is why Vereen is in;) I mean be serious.

Absolutely correct to go for 2 there. A conversion failing now and you know you need two TDs. If it fails later, there's not enough time left to make up for it with another drive.

kick the FG
That would end up being the single worst playoff call that I can remember since Cowher went for the FG against the Pats in this same position in Roethlisberger's rookie year.
A FG would have put them down two scores. They got the TD so it worked out for them
4th and goal from the 1. A conversion = 6 points.FG = down 15 which means in a best case scenario you have to go for 2 at some point. And in that case 2 yards = 2 points. Monumentally stupid play call to go for a FG there.

You have to get a FG at some point and you have to get a 2-pointer at some point no matter what order you do them in. If they had come away with zero on 4th down the game would have been over. I'm not going to argue anymore with you about this. You have your opinion and I have mine. I can express mine without being insulting and you apparently cannot.

An absolutely horrific game by the refs- that was the first borderline/bad call that worked out for the Patriots and it was incredibly ticky tack. The fumble that got overturned by forward progress was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

"I would rather go for 2 yards when it's worth 2 points than go for 1 yard when it's worth 6 points". Just want you to be clear exactly what your opinion is here. We don't even need to break out the fancy math for this. It's clearly a bad call.

Sucks to see the season end for the Texans, though getting to see Watt have arguably the best season ever by a D-lineman was a treat.

So who do you want in Super Bowl 47?Patriots-49ersPatriots-FalconsRavens-49ersRavens-FalconsI'm not really excited about any of these games.

Patriots-49ers

Patriots-Falcons

Ravens-49ers

Ravens-Falcons

I'm not really excited about any of these games.
Either is fine, but I don't like how the Niners match up with the Pats, would much rather face the Falcons.

Guess you didn't watch the Patriots and 49ers when they played during the season.
That's why I'm not excited about that game. I just saw it a few weeks ago.
If this round of games has proven anything it's that rematches of games in the regular season can provide drastically different results.

I think Patriots-Falcons would be an entertaining shootout.
Patriots vs. either NFC team is going to be exciting shoot out.Hoping to see Pats vs. 49ers. No QB left more exciting to watch than Kaepernick.

Kaep is going to run wild next week vs. Falcons IMO. Falcons leave the middle of the field wide open. Newton torched them both times (200+ rush yards 2 games) Zach Miller went nuts today. Wilson ran for 60 yards (8.6 ypc) and a rush TD.

Well I'm sure Atlanta will do a little more to stop it. Miller did go off but Kaep doesn't use his TE much and have to think ATL did a lot to try to stop Lynch. I don't think they'll put as much into stopping Gore.
