Texans at Titans (1 Viewer)

Like most every game, Texans came out throwing on the first possession. Several short passes to move the chains, 1 Foster run, and then a the Titans safety went for the ball and missed, allowing Lestar Jean a catch and run to the end zone.

Titans moving the ball. Long catch by Cook who outfought the safety for the ball, then a run by Chris Johnson to inside the Texans 30. Right tackle David Stewart is down injured though.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean saying cart coming out for Stewart, thinks it's a season ending injury. Boot on the leg, possibly broken.

Bironas makes it 7-3. Titans weren't above to move the ball much after that, run for a loss, dump off to CJ and incomplete pass. Locker had time to throw in their first possession though.

Forsett getting a lot of snaps for early in the game. Kubiak apparently told Wilcotts that it's getting to the point in the season to keep Foster fresh.

Pass interference on McCourty goes uncalled, Texans convert to Daniels on 3rd down then.

By the way, Tate is active today, but Forsett is being used as the #2 RB. He's getting more snaps than Foster even, so far.

Titans backed up inside their 10 after Texans punt, go 3 and out. Locker 2 passes, under pressure on both, both go incomplete, one nearly picked after it went off receiver's hands, and a CJ rush that only got 2.

Punt the ball back to Houston, block in the back on the punt, Houston gets it around their own 20.

Texans move the ball about 20 yards, with 2 passes to AJ, but he falls on 3rd down on a WR screen. Texans punt, Titans will start inside their 10 again.

Titans 3 incomplete passes and out. Texans blitzed on first 2 passes.

Titans punt to Keshawn Martin who returns it from the Texans 38 all the way up to the Titans 20.

4th and 1 in the red zone. Texans lined up to go for it, Kubiak calls a timeout before the snap. Offense back on the field. Pitch to Foster, picks up 6. Texans first and goal on the 5.

Schaub to Casey for an easy touchdown. Play action stretch play to left, Casey starts left then cuts back right across the formation as Schaub boots, wide open.

With Al Davis passing, Bud Adams has taken over the mantle of NFL Owner I'm Most Sure is Undead.

Titans pick up an early first down to Cook, then a Watt TFL of CJ, and a couple of incompletions leads to a punt. Locker faced some pressure from the pass rush, but the first down to Cook was a great throw. Texans getting the ball at the 19.

Houston a pair of Forsett runs, then AJ can't pull in a pass. Titans possession will start at the 30.

Texans are treating foster like he is a grandpa...

We foster owners had better hope that the texans lose a game or two or foster will not see crap in the playoffs

Titans a pair of first downs, move to the Houston 33. Locker did a nice job getting the ball to Washington as Houston brought a blitz.

Refs with a makeup for the Forsett touchdown against the Lions.

JJ Watt forces a fumble in the backfield. Antonio Smith picks it up and they inexplicably rule Antonio Smith down. It wasn't like he was close to being down... Smith was fully standing up the entire time and never touched. Smith might have been tackled but had a chance of taking it for a TD but for the whistle.

Houston ball in any event. Tate in and getting touches.

Arian Foster, 2 yard run to the pylon for a touchdown. Nice play by Owen Daniels slipping outside the end's shoulder to seal him off.

Texans fans will be glad to see Graham's kickoffs are actually deep for a change. The last one actually doinked off the crossbar.

Offsetting holding calls neutralize an Antonio Smith sack. Locker scrambles on 3rd and 10, picks up a first down.

CB Brice McCain out with a foot injury. Return questionable. Houston is now without their 1st, 3rd, and 4th best corners.

Locker nice job getting a throw off under pressure, but deflected by D. Manning as it got to Cook.

Titans were going to go for it on 4th and 6, but draw delay of game and punt instead. Downed at the 1 yard line.

Texans move the ball in the 2 minute drill with a healthy dose of Andre Johnson, but Titans D holds at midfield and Texans punt.

Titans had some great blocking for Reynaud on the punt return but he did little with it.

Mercilus with his 2nd sack of the season. Titans timeout with 16 seconds on their own 26. Dump off to CJ for short yards.

Next pass, Locker hit as he throws it. Quinn picked it off but made a mistake trying to return it too far. Should have went out of bounds or taken a knee once he got near the 30. Could have given Houston a FG chance.

Has Foster looked that bad? Or was it just the scheme the first half? 15 yards?
Mostly just game situation, though hasn't done a lot on the small number of touches. They are going light with him today, using Forsett and Tate. He's had 6 carries. They haven't been spectacular carries, he picked up 6 on 4th and 1, and had the 2 yard touchdown. So 4 carries for 7 yards in "normal" down and distance.

Titans first possession of the 2nd half. CJ dropped by Watt in the backfield. Locker sacked by Antonio Smith. Then CJ picks up 12 on a draw on 3rd and 21.

Nice coverage by Titans D on first down. Then Foster rushes for 7, and then converts the 3rd down with an 8 yard pick up on a screen pass.

Lestar Jean called for offensive PI makes it 2nd and 18. Foster picks up about 19 but it's called back for a hold leading to 2nd and 28. Ouch.

Texans punt, Reynaud with a nice return past the 35, but a block in the back will call it back.

Texans TE Garret Graham is out for the game with a head injury.

Titans tackle Michael Roos limped off. If he doesn't return that's both starting tackles out.

Locker scrambles on 3rd, has the first down but Locker loses the ball and Mercilus recovers for Houston. Landed on defensive player so he wasn't down, play upheld by replay. Texans with the ball at the Titans 30.

Foster gained 4, and then 3. Ruled a fumble on the 2nd down carry, but Houston recovered. Fumble would have been overturned by replay if needed, still had control, though barely, when he hit the ground.

3rd down, Titans #91 not fooled by a bootleg, Schaub has to dump it off to Foster with defenders on him. Houston gets a FG. 24-3.

Story of the game is the Titans O-line against the Texans D-line. Locker is under a lot of pressure, not a lot of running lanes. Locker sacked on first down, as Ruud blitzed unblocked for a big hit.

Titans make a smart play call on 2nd, WR screen that gains a few, but then Mercilus sacks Locker on 3rd down. That one wasn't the O-line... Locker had to get out of the pocket but he had plenty of time to throw it, or at the least throw it out of bounds. Shouldn't have allowed a sack.

Titans punt, Houston will start on their 25 after a personal foul for a block below the waist.
