***Thanksgiving Game Thread - San Francisco at Baltimore*** (1 Viewer)

This is where we see if Alex Smith is the key weakness. Down by 7 late in the game against a playoff team. The 49ers are forced to throw. So far, not working out.

Impressed with the SF Linebackers. But otherwise, what passes for a physical team in the NFC is soft as tissue paper compared to the AFC North. Though maybe the short week has something to do with it. Will be interesting to see if the 49ers are tougher physically when they get Pittsburgh at home.

please..... the Giants, 49ers, Bears and cowboys... ####.... the Steelers arent that good.. neither are the Bengals defensively.

Baltimore is playing fantastic tonight so we can expect that next week they will lose to Cleveland.

to be fair.. Cleveland always play the ravens tough.
They are a crazy unpredictable team. They beat a bunch of teams with winning records but lose to Tenneesse, Jacksonville and Seattle.
Drives me crazy... and they play teams like the bungles and browns horribly.... I dont get it either.

They are lethal at home -- if they win tonight, they'll be 16-1 in their last 17 in Baltimore. Home wins this year over the Steelers, Bengals, Jets, and Texans. But their offense struggles on the road, which is where all 3 of those crap losses occurred.

They almost never overturn these spot challenges unless they're right at the sideline. Would be very surprised if Baltimore wins this one

The Browns are very thin on talent, and it seems every year whatever talent they have gets injured. Unknowns step into the starting lineup and look good for a while until teams figure out their weaknesses. Makes it hard to predict what will happen. Guys like Lee Suggs, Holcomb, Anderson, Jerome Harrison, Ogbonaya...they all got their playing time due to injury. Most of them were flash in the pans.

Not sure what the Ravens did vs. Davis and the SF TEs, but I'm impressed -- their inside LBs have struggled in pass coverage all year. Looked like they brought in Zibikowski as a third Safety and played nickel for much of the night, with Zibbie covering the TE very effectively. What's interesting about that is that they might never have been able to do that if Ray weren't hurt. He never comes off the field, even in passing downs where he's no longer capable of playing effective pass coverage. But with him on the sideline, they could mix and match their pass coverage packages.
