The general perception of the NFC East is that it's competitive, but that the Giants are arguably the best team in the NFC right now, the Eagles are a good team that's somehow lost three in a row, the Cowboys are also good but inconsistent, and the Redskins are stumbling around and poor and are either underperforming or outright suck.
Nevertheless, look at the way that the standings could be on Monday if: the Bears beat the Giants; the Redskins beat the Eagles; and the Cards beat the Cowboys:
NY Giants 6-3 (div. 3-0)
Washington 4-5 (div. 2-2)
Philadelphia 4-5 (div. 1-2)
Dallas 4-5 (div. 1-3)
Admittedly, the exact opposite could very well happen, and I certainly don't expect the Cards to beat the Cowboys; the Redskins and Eagles always seem to play games that are decided by one score or less, but it's going to be a tall order for the 'Skins to beat the Eagles at Philly. Still, this division looks for all the world to be one that won't be decided until the final week or two of the season unless the Giants start running the table.
