Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban said on Thursday that the team does not have any immediate plans to honor the request of defensive tackle Manny Wright to be traded or waived. "Our players do not determine what their outcome is relative to their future," Saban said. "We don't have any of this stuff, 'When it doesn't work here, let me go someplace else.' That's not how it is. If you're not capable, we'll certainly support you and help you. But if you're not interested in doing that, then we determine your fate. You don't."

Nice to see that not all organizations let these over-grown babies run the show.

As a Patriots fan, I'm obviously routing against the Dolphins... but I think Nick Saban is going to be one hell of a coach. In fact, I think he already is.

I guess you've missed out on college football for a decade or so. Saban has a very good track level in both the NFL and especially in college. He's a solid guy and a great coach. Very glad he left Michigan St. :bye:

Dolphin fans won the lottery when Saban was named their coach. We've come a long way since Dumbstadt.
As a Jet fan I was praying Mike Nolan went to Miami....Saban is the real deal from what he said last year that basically "W/L doesn't mean everything" - Ahhh, the Anti-Herm Edwards... to this statement... The Guy lays it on the line and says what he wants.
