The Audible - interview with Donald Brown, RB, UCONN (1 Viewer)

AWESOME!

I just watched him on the NFL Network today and have TOTAL AND COMPLETE MAN LOVE for this kid. So well spoken, so smart, so humble. You just don't see that very often. Already is focused on what he has to do, understands that health and fitness and diet are keys to longevity, didn't hesitate to say the thing he has to work on is pass protection b/c that's the key to being able to stay on the field as a young runner on every down.

Wow, the Eagles NEED to take this kid in the 2nd round.

He won't be there...It wouldn't shock me if they took him in the first. He's the kind of first round pick that allows a GM to sleep soundly Saturday night.

I don't disagree, although I think they would only do that if they got a chance to trade down from 21.

Cecil and Bloom, you guys do a great job of interviewing--I am proud to be affiliated through FBG.

Brown sounds very intelligent and well spoken--this guy is no Travis Henry.

see your first quote Jason? Bugs me this time of year how many NFL execs could say the same two quotes as you. IMO If you love a guy's prospects that much just take him. Worry about round 2 in round 2. Plus (and other years are very similar) I don't see a whole slew of difference between middle of round one and end of round two. There just isn't that many marquee impact players and from that point they're all "solid".

I posted this in another thread and it's definetly a take it for what it's worth. A buddy of mine (funny how all the buddies come out when it's draft-rumor time) who has some decent sources says that the Pats are looking at Brown real hard. The Pats have really been linked with UConn since Belichick's visit there. Many say it's Butler they are eying but I was told don't be surprised if they make a play for Brown.

I've heard that too. Butler, Brown, or Beatty are pretty popular inside NE's warroom from what I've heard.
