Hey Guys,

It feels like the Steelers are not concerned that they probably won't have Mendenhall going into 2012. Do you see Isaac Redman picking up all of Mendenhall's workload? What are you thoughts about the opportunities of the other RBs on the roster, including Dwyer, Batch, and Rainey?

Thanks!

Dynasty draft, Cam or Stafford?

Also, after the(my) top 5(Rice, Foster, McCoy, Rodgers, Calvin), who is next this year? Seems to me like there is no census #6 guy. Can Ryan Mathews score enough to be worthy of #6?

Hi Guys,

Last year Josh Freeman was a hot prospect but fell off after a shaky season where the expectations were pretty lofty.

What are the Football Guys thoughts on Josh Freeman for the 2012 season?

I would love to hear (or perhaps see on FootballGuys TV) exactly what to look for in terms of analyzing film. Obviously not everyone has the time to devote to film study you guys do and that's part of why we listen, but if you guys could cover not only the specifics of what you look for (ie not just footwork but what QBs should be doing with their feet and what warning signs are) for all positions that would be really cool. Probably would work better for FBGTV but will take it any form I can get.

Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Love the show guys.

What are your thoughts on "regression to the mean"? So many times you see that used to counter production, is it just Debbie Downers or jealousy?

i.e. Stafford's passing yards, Victor Cruz, Megatron's TD, Jamaal Charles YPC, Gronk's domination, etc.

Thanks!

:headbang:

Hakeem Nicks, is his Dynasty value even affected by his broken foot? Seems hard to move him out of the top 5 WR's in any Dynasty Format, but would you bump a Marshall, Wallace, Harvin or Jennings above him?

Hey fellas! Won my league last year thanks to you guys! Gotta defend my title this year and I have a question for my trusted advisors. I'm in a 10 team redraft, all TD's are 6 pts. How do feel about getting Brady mid/late 1st RD and scooping up Gronk 2nd RD. Good idea or is it too much boom or bust to have a same team QB/TE combo?

16 team PPR/return yardage league

Trying to figure out if I need to make any more moves

start 2-3 RBs: Charles, Stewart, FJax, Martin, Vareen, Fannin

start 2-3 WRs: D Moore, Little, S.Rice, Jeffery, LaFell, Wylie, Easley

I like my RBs but don't have a true WR1 (though Im pretty high on Moore). I'm wanting to hold Vareen but getting interest, do I keep him for depth considering Charles( injury), JStew(situation), FJax(old)... or use him and a WR as a package to try and get a WR1, or trade him for a 2013 1st? This is a contract league so I was planning on trying to address my WR situation in next years FA auction or rookie draft unless you think I need to do so now.

Cecil, should having Fannin give me the confidence to move Vareen? how confident are you that he will be part of the Denver RBBC next year?

If this is too long a question feel free to just answer here instead of on air if you want, thanks.

Hey guys love the show, what are you thinking on Fred Jackson vs Spiller this season ? How many more years will Fred Jackson be the lead dog after signing a contract extension ?

Can Fred retain his top 10 RB pace he was on last year before he was injured ?

For Dynasty would you trade Fred Jackson away for a 2013 1st round pick or would you want more ?

Thanks!

Hey Guys, I'm faced with the prospect of drafting some WRs to fill out my depleted squad @ rookie 1.08/ 1.09 this weekend - I'd love to hear your top 5 WRs amount this rookie class... Thanks!

I've been thinking a lot lately about QB2 strategies for this year and I have a two part question on the subjectFirst of all, I've noticed that there are a lot of former first round pick quarterbacks with QB1 upside who are being drafted as solid QB2's. Carson Palmer, Josh Freeman, Sam Bradford, Joe Flacco, and Christian Ponder all fit this criteria. Which (if any) of these guys is most likely to reach or come close to that upside for fantasy owners this year?Another strategy I've used in the past has been to draft the actual backup of my QB1 knowing that if he goes down I have a solid replacement. Last year I used this strategy to back up Matt Stafford with Shaun Hill knowing I had a likely top 10 option in the Lions pass first offense if the injury bug found Stafford again. Are there any other backups besides Hill who could be solid options if the starter went down (Brian Hoyer is the only one that comes to mind for me)? Thanks for the great show guys!

This show is ESSENTIAL listening.

Could you guys each make a VERY VERY bold prediction for a player in 2012?

A prediction that will make us question your sanity (more than we do already)

I mean something like crazy like Kevin Kolb crawling his way into the top 5 QB ratings (this is just an example, not a prediction)

fellas,

I wanna add my name to the long list of guys thanking you for helping them win their leagues last year (3 for 3). this show, the RSP and a FBG subscription = a monsterously unfair advantage. (and let's not forget the IDP show)

anyway, i have romo in a 12 team IDP 3+Flex PPR league. all TDs 6 points and with the 1.03 i am hoping martin falls to me, but worried he will not. QB is a position that is much easier to fill than RB/WR/TE and my gut tells me to trade down to 7 and get extra picks, yet another side of me thinks "you'll regret this." so i'm calling the emergency hotline and seeing if someone will talk me in off the ledge. what do you guys think?

also, cecil, thank you for pulling the rockzo drop out of the mothballs. hasn't anyone else in the league taken cocaine?!

k-k-k-yeahah!

Hello Gentlemen,

I'm attempting to trading for the 1.01 pick in our 12 team ppr dynasty league, 2 Rb 3 wr everything else is a standard non IDP league.

I give 1.09, 2.06, 3.01 and Ahmad Bradshaw. Too much, to little?

I feel like a need more depth on the roster but should I worry about that later and go for the homerun?

Thanks for your help guys and keep up the good work.

P.S. Don't mention my name on the podcast if you happen to read this as I am sure other league mates listen and might swoop in and up the ante on the trade!

Gents,

What are your thoughts on chiefs 6th round rookie RB Cyrus Gray.

haven't heard much from him in OTAs

I think he could be a stealthy snatch in rookie drafts due to Charles & Hillis injury history.

At 5'10" 206, who does his game and running style best compare to.

Any chance he can contribute if the opportunity presents itself?

Thanks for reading and stay frosty!!

Please talk a little about Jahvid Best. Let's say he doesn't have concussion issues this season, could he be Sproles 2.0?

Kyle Orton backing up Romo. Also Webb backing up Ponder come to mind. Also like Josh Johnson or Kaepernick backing up Alex Smith.

In a 12 team 2WR PPR league, no flex, which Green Bay WR would you take first, Jordy Nelson or Greg Jennings, and in what round?

They are fairly comparable, same number of targets, same number of catches, approximately the same number of snaps (Jennings missed three games last year due to a knee sprain, by the end of the year both players played the same amount.) Kind of a question of do you believe in Jennings track record vs. the huge fantasy difference Nelson had over Jennings last year, even if you exclude the week 17 Detroit game.

12 team ppr must start 3 wrs strong at rb and te strong at qb

How would you feel going into a season with Julio jones, Greg little, Sidney rice, demaryius thomas? Is this to much risk or is the upside worth the risk?

Can you name a few guys in new situations that you would/wouldn't draft? Situations like new coordinators, teams or supporting cast?

How about naming a few of last years disappointments that you would gamble on to bounce back and out produce their adp?

didn't get to this one, but VERY good question we'll talk about on next week's show!

Which receivers in the NFL have more talent than AJ Green? I can think of only two.
'Denarius Moore is another one up there with AJ Green in terms of physical talent' thanks Matt! This line alone made listening worth while. Im even higher on Moore now.

I have Moore as my 5th wideout right now on a dynasty squad. Not sure he's still sitting in that spot by the end of the year.
