The Audible LIVE! - 6/10/10 - 10pm ET (1 Viewer)

In case I don't get to call in- CFB question - what do you think of Colorado possibly jumping to the Pac 10? Good, bad, indifferent?

Apparently ESPN is saying it is definitely happening.

Hey

Guys, love the show better and better every week. The question I have may be a little off the wall but a few points here in there count every week.

What Kicker and Def/St combo are you guys looking at grabbing the last 2 or 3 rounds of your redrafts this year? Any Thoughts?

Hey guys, I've been targeting Big Ben in my upcoming redraft leagues because value wise i think he'll do his owners well in the playoff drive. With that said, despite current draft slot projections I feel people will slowly jump on this strategy come aug. I know we should never be too attached to a player but I feel we don't get too many opportunities to get a top 6 QB that late.I plan on grabbing a Flacco type QB to couple him with. Should I reach a bit higher than the consensus draft position for him if needed or just jump on several late round qb's so I don't handicap myself?

Edit: DON'T READ THIS ON THE AIR. Hey Cecil, I know you usually have trouble with my username so I'll help ya out brother. Its pronounced rawfullcopter. ROFL stands for rolling on the floor laughing and the copter is just a silly pop culture addition. By the way Cecil, you are the man. I love your football show and Sig is far and away the best in the business.

Look forward to downloading the show every Friday morning! You guys give people a huge edge in dynasty leagues, so I wish you guys weren't getting so popular :goodposting: , but I know it's good for biz!

I'm in a very deep 16 man PPR - full IDP dynasty league. I'm worried about the latest news on Donald Driver. I'm a contending team but have a lot of young WR's on my team but no established superstars. I have Nicks, Benn, Sims-Walker, Edelmen, Doucet and Malcolm Floyd as well as developmental guys such as Tate, Emmanuel Sanders, Gettis, B. White and Jeremy Williams. Should I try to trade Driver to an unsuspecting owner and get whatever I can or stick with him and hope he has another productive year or two?

Also, do you think Jamar Williams is definitely the guy to replace Thomas Davis or will Beason move to WLB and Connor to MLB?

Thanks a ton guys!

Id love to hear your thoughts on 2nd year DLs and who you think might break out. Folks like Everette Brown, Michael Johnson, Barwin, Sidbury, and Shaugnessy all showed some signs.

Need some help on QB selection. I'm in an auction league and have always had QB problems. Most of the top tier QBs will be kept. The top selections available will be Stafford, Kolb, Henne, Palmer, Roethlisberger, McNabb, Ryan, Leinart, Flacco, Cassel, and Freeman. I think I want to go with the committee approach this year. Who should I target?

Hey guys,

Who would you rather have in a ppr dynasty league sutton or goodson?

Same question except with steve johnson, harry douglas, kevin ogletree, naanee, and joe webb

Thanks

Gentlemen,

Was going to keep my virtual mouth shut so as not to hog, but since there are fewer questions in the Pool this week here goes:

10-team, redraft, NON-PPR, auction league.

I'm trying to get my head around the top RBs in terms of PERCENTAGE chance of finishing number one. In an auction league this seems to be a better approach than a straight ranking.

1. What do you think of this idea in general?

2. What's your assessment of the following percentage chances of finishing in the top spot:

Chris Johnson 30%

ADP 25%

MJD 15%

Rice 15%

Turner 10%

Other (Gore, DeWill, Greene?) 5%

hey fellas -

i've got one question for you - who's on your watch lists currently? guys that maybe wont see the field this season but have the talent and possible future situations that are appealing? IDP's as well?

thanks for everything you do and TIA for the answer!

Hey Cecil and Sig, Dynasty Greg here.

Hope all is well with you guys and your families.

A couple of quick questions this week:

1) Will the Chiefs ever wake up and trade Glenn Dorsey to a 4-3 team so he can have a chance to full fill the potential he had coming out of college as a dominant defensive tackle? In my opinion they are wasting his talent forcing him to play DE.

2) What is your opinion of Everson Griffen? Could he be the real deal as a rush DE, or is he fool's gold?

Thanks as always for your insight.

Dynasty Greg

Hello Cecil and Bloom

I always enjoy downloading your podcast and listening as I am driving on Fridays. You always give me multiple things to think about. Thanks for all you do!

I keep hearing Bloom say something similar to "I am trying to get player X in all my dynasty leagues".

A roster management question. Does it concern you to have the same player in several different leagues? As the player gets better, do you still feel comfortable about the same player on multiple teams?

I am down to 2 Dynasty leagues at this point due to time constraints. I have Choice, Pierre Thomas and Andre Johnson on both rosters at this point. I am not worried at all about Choice, a little worried about Pierre Thomas, but I am absolutely petrified about Andre Johnson. If Andre gets hurt, in one league I will definitely be out of the playoffs, and in the other league I might barely squeak into the playoffs. So if Andre gets hurt, my fantasy season would basically be over.

Do you worry about having the same player and/or stud in different leagues? Do you hedge your bets and try to avoid having the same stud in different leagues to minimize risk? Or do you treat each league independently and just try to field the best team possible.

Thanks!

What are your thoughts on Mike Williams? Not the headcase from USC but the headcase from Syracuse. He's been getting rave reviews from the Tampa coaching staff and was widely regarded as having first round talent with a 6th round attitude. How do you think he'll do at Tampa both this year and beyond. Thanks much!!!

James

Who are some guys you think it would be wise to try and steal before the season picks up? Any good buy lows out there?

St. Louis has to have a WR who will occasionally catch the ball. Who steps up and becomes a viable fantasy option, if anyone?

hey guys, your resident Aussie checking in.

I know this situation is ugly at best but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the Carolina pass catching situation. I know we are talking seriously deep here but surely there has to be some value to be mined after Steve Smith. I have plenty of faith in Matt Moore so is it possible for a viable WR or TE.....or RB for that matter to be catching passes from Moore? The one concern I have is whether the Panthers are creative enough offensively to make this work.

Below is the current depth chart and I've highlighted the guys who I like and might have a shot to be that reliable target and give us some production in deep leagues, what thoughts can you add on them and the others on the depth chart.

RB: DeAngelo Williams (inj), Jonathan Stewart, Tyrell Sutton (KR), Mike Goodson (KR)

WR: Steve Smith (inj), Kenneth Moore (PR/KR), Dwayne Jarrett, Brandon LaFell, Armanti Edwards (KR), David Gettis, Wallace Wright, Charly Martin, Trent Guy

TE: Gary Barnidge, Dante Rosario, Jeff King

I was thinking about targeting Karlos Dansby for my team in an IDP dynasty league. It's a 12 team league with a separate defensive draft from our offensive and we're at the beginning of the 3rd while I pick in the middle of it. I drafted Trent Cole and Tyvon Branch with the first and 2nd picks. Do you feel that he would be a viable first LB for me?

Hey guys.

I'm in a dynasty league where the two division winners make the playoffs and the other 4 playoff spots are determined by total points. Of course, if I just stuck with my top lineup (regardless of matchup), I'd have been in.

Yet, I love to tinker with the lineup weekly based on matchup. That said, in the key week 14, I benched Brady for Favre (I'd played Brady every available week up until then). Needless to say, Brady played well, Favre sucked, and I missed the playoffs by 4 points. That's only one of several examples I could give when I 'guessed' wrong.

Question is, in your experience... do you stick with your studs no matter what, or do you have that itchy finger like I do and look for that juicy matchup? I'm just not a 'set it and forget it' type of owner, but I'm pissed cuz this was the first time I'd missed the playoffs in years.

Hey guys, 3 quick questions about strategy in an Auction. I'm currently in the second week of a 14 team Dynasty IDP Start-up Auction.

1) If you realize you are bidding the same 4 players over and over against only one other owner, would you rather end up overpaying for the 4 players or realize the stupidity here and use a divide an conquer approach (2 each)?

2) In a $1000 cap 60 players roster (21 Starters including IDP) , how much would you allocate for a starter and a back-up QB?

3) Should I even bother bidding on a CB?

we had some technical difficulties with BTR tonight so we recorded a Non-Live version of the Audible LIVE! I'm editing it right now, and will have the link up and Itunes feed ready in about an hour...
