Hey Guys,

How much do you downgrade Phillip Rivers now that Vincent Jackson has been suspended three games and will PROBABLY be traded (sounds strange saying that but it looks accurate)? If you're like me and don't think Floyd is #1 material, it should be the Antonio Gates show, right? Or is there someone waiting to emerge in SanDiego? Terrell Owens maybe... maybe?

As the Steelers' offensive line was already average to below-average, how bad are they now withour Colon? Have you downgraded Mendenhall because of this? If so, how much?

Lastly, let's talk Sage Rosenfels. In your opinions, for FANTASY purposes, where would it be best for him to be traded (for him and the surrounding offensive skill position players)? ARZ? TEN? BUF? CLE? Somewhere else?

Thanks!

Sweet! I will be there! I am sure you already have it on the agenda, but wanted to remind you to bring up Joe Flacco's dynasty value. Specifically why Bloom has Flacco ranked #21 for dynasty QB's after a pretty good sophomore season (21 TD's and 12 INT's), a maturing O-Line, added weapons (mainly Boldin), an aging D (means pass more), and one of the best pass receiving RB's in Ray Rice. How are Mark Sanchez and Vince Young both rated ahead of Flacco? I find this way off base and I think you guys will both be eating your words on Flacco at the end of the season when he is pushing to be close to top 10, if not in the top 10.

BTW....I LOVE THE SHOW!!! I can't wait for your preview on all the teams. 2 hours of the Audible + 2 hours of the FAN's football show isn't enough. I listen to you guys while I run.....being a long distance runner, your 4 hours per week doesn't last me long! I am dying for more.

Also thanks for the Ray Rice tip last year. I traded Donald Brown for him straight up to the Addai owner just before training camp in my dynasty league. :goodposting:

Hey guys thanks so much for a great show. I was hoping you could give me some info on dynasty leagues. I have been a commissioner for redraft and keeper leagues, but we are starting up a dynasty league and I am not too certain of the specifics. I can not seem to find exact rules anywhere. Any help or info would be most appreciated.

Continued compliments on your offseason work!

2 questions:

1. I'm in a 12 team keeper PPR (3 year contracts on players). Can keep 3 players one per position max ($200 cap) - Currently have Aaron Rodgers (last yr of contract) for $6 and Ray Rice for $23 (2 years left on deal) for sure. Can keep Sims Walker for $2 (1 year left) but I also have Mendenhall on my roster for $12. Question is this. Do I move Mendenhall to Nicks ($2) owner (2 years left) or do I throw Mendenhall back in to the auction knowing he'll go for $40 +?

2. One more auction strategy question. If you have studs at a couple positions cheap (see above), do you spend huge on a few players to fill the roster, or try to take a more conservative approach for the rest of the team looking for sleepers and low price bargains to use as trading tools down the road?

Thanks so much guys!

Here is what I’ve noticed in trying to pull off a QBBC strategy this year. Five of the eight common QBBC candidates have the same bye week. Kolb, Ryan, Cutler, Eli Manning, and Flacco each have Week 8 byes. How does this weigh into your decision to target a QBBC approach and/or how does this change your ranking of the eight common QBBC quarterbacks? Would you worry about byes or just select the two you like best and worry about Week 8 when it gets here if you happen to end up with a Kolb/Cutler combo as an example.

QBBC Candidates by Consensus ADP (bye week) – Ryan (8), Cutler (8), McNabb (9), E Manning (8), Kolb (8), Flacco (8), Palmer (6), Favre (4)

Does Stafford belong in this list? Will he be a reliable QBBC option?

I have excluded Roethlisberger due to the suspension. Missing the first six games destroys the ability to rotate starters based on matchup which is a core tenant of the QBBC approach.

Keep up the great work Cecil and Sigmund!

Hey guys, love the show.

Only discovered the show a few months ago but I'm now a loyal listener, keep up the good work.

Wanted to ask for your opinion on Dynasty start up strategy.

I'm currently in the middle of a 16 team .5 ppr dynasty startup drafting out of the 7 spot. We start 1qb,2rb,3wr,1flex,1pk,1dst.

I went into the draft with the idea of going after young guys with high upside and through 7 rounds I have: Rodgers, Matthews, Wells, M.Bush, Nicks, Dez Bryant, Benn.

I'm curious to know whether you would stick with this strategy throughout the draft or whether you would start looking at some more experienced players. Any other startup tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated as this is the first one I've been part of.

Thanks

Hey what’s up guys. Your podcast rocks! It’s the best on the market, much better than fftoolbox, Fantasy Focus and cbs.

League type: Auction $100cap non ppr keeper league.

Scoring: 6points for TD’s with a 1point bonus for TD’s 20-49yards, 2point bonus for 50-75, and a 3 point bonus for 76yards<

My question for you is as follows.

My keepers: Chris Johnson ($10) and Ray Rice($6) <-------Research pays off...thanks guys

Possible Keepers: Jermichael Finely ($5), Mike Wallace ($5) and Robert Meachem ($5)

My question:

Seeing that I have the running back situation on lock down, how would you divvy up the rest of the $84? Would you keep any of my possibles? 3 max BTW. Would you go big on two stud receivers like Andre and Moss. Would you go big on one more back such as Gore or Turner, and have a fantasy owners wet dream of a backfield? I have a few different routes I could travel, but I’d like to hear your opinions. Okay, time to go flip some burgers at work, can’t wait to listen later on with a nice cold Sierra Nevada! Take it easy guys. Thanks.

I :goodposting: you guys!

14-team PPR league with 6 point per passing TD and 1 point per return 25 return yards. Keep 3 out of Brady, DJax, Greene, Harvin, and Optimus Prime...I mean Megatron.

Thanks in advance!

whats up guys

Is it time to trade Vjax in dynasty or sit on him and see what happens?

It's an insane situation because If Vjax does not get traded he will sit until week 10, because stingy Spanos aint payin' him, THEN when comes back he has to sit out two or three MORE games.

If he gets traded he could end up on a fantasy value killing team like Buffalo...is there a bright side in this situation?

In my 10-team auction dyansty leauge, starting 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, I have the following:

RB (yes, I'm a RB whore): Mendenhall, Ronnie Brown, Moreno, B. Wells, Jerome Harrison, McFadden, Bush, Donald Brown, and B. Scott.

WR: Steve Smith (NYG), Colston, MSW, and Donnie Avery.

Despite my depth at RB, I think my WR corp fields a better starting line-up. I plent of cap room, and to fill just a few roster spots so I want to get either a top tier RB or WR. Any thoughts on which position I should choose to upgrade my starting line-up?

Guys, another SD WR question here...Lets assume for the sake of this question that VJax is traded:

With 4000+ passing yds coming from Rivers, there will be plenty of yds to go around....Yes, Gates will be their #1 WR....but

1) How realistic is it that Malcomn Floyd will be a 1000+ yds receiver this yr? He was at 45/776yds last yr and only started 9 games...at 6'5, 228lbs he could be unstoppable!

2) With Legedu N. the #2, Which LSU guy will be the #3/Slot Guy? Josh Reed or Craig Davis and would there be any fantasy value here with 4000+ pass yds to go around?

Hey Cecil and Sigmund,

I know that you promised a future podcast covering auction strategy, but I'm impatient, so here are a couple of things I'd like to hear your thoughts on:

[*]Who generally chooses the next name to throw into the ring? Does the owner who bought the last player get to choose, or does the selection just rotate amongst the owners? What's your preference?

[*]How do you determine what name to throw out? Do you like to submit players that you feel will be overpriced early to try to deplete other owner's budgets?

[*]Can you name some specific players that you find are being under- or over-valued in auctions?

Thanks!

Few people are projecting the reception and yardage numbers of Steve Smith (NYG) to significantly regress this year. Meanwhile, expectations for Hakeem Nicks, Ahmad Bradshaw, and the collective numbers of the remainder of the WR corps are bullish. Given that people see upside for nearly all of the pass catchers, why are the expectations for Eli Manning so modest? If all of those skill position guys go off, it would seem that Eli would be poised to exceed the low end QB1 or high QB2 value that most seem to give him. What's your take on the fantasy upside of Eli Manning?

Hey fellas,

As always, great work!

I've got three quick questions for you this week:

1. How much do you think Matt Leinart/Derek Anderson at QB for the Cardinals will affect the performance of Larry Fitzgerald? Personally, I think Fitz is an uberstud who will still live up to his high standards and continue to be a dynasty force. Some owners are trying to acquire him on the cheap, but I don't see it. Your thoughts?

2. Do you think Jamar Williams will be the player who takes over as the WLB?

3. Who is the best kept secret in dynasty leagues right now?

Thanks guys. Lovin' your work

Hey guys! I'm in a 12 team auction keeper league with a $180 cap. What is the most you would spend on a top QB like P. Manning $30, $40, $50+? Do you think it is a better strategy to spend that same amount or less on 2 quality QBs instead like Palmer/Stafford, Ryan/Flacco, ect? Thanks!

Cedric Benson!! Oh my....whats wrong with all of those UT guys Bloom!!! 2 main questions here:

1) I have Benson in one of my Dynasty leagues, but he is not handcuffed with Scott....I might have an opportunity to trade a 2nd rd pick in 2011 (2.08) for Bernard Scott, should I do it? If 1) Benson is suspended for 4 games, what kind of Fantasy Impact can B Scott have during those 4 games? My league also awards pts/KR and PR, but I'm assuming that if Scott is the go to guy, he wont be used in KR/PRs... should I go for Cedric Peerman?

2) if you own Reggie Bush in a PPR dynasty league, how much of a handcuff is Lynell Hamilton? Bush never plays 16 games.

Lavelle Hawkins drew some praise from Jeff Fisher this week. I know fantasy upside for WR's is limited in the Titans offense but are you guys buying this at all or is he just using this as motivation for Kenny Britt?

Also, I have Frank Gore and Anthony Dixon in my dynasty league. Given Dixon's early injury concerns, do you think it'd be wise to try to get Glen Coffee as insurance if I can do it fairly cheap, or will Dixon end up taking over as the backup sometime in the preseason?

Crazy..or Crazy like a Fox?!?!?

Hey Guys! As always, love the show, love the site…LOVE THE KNOWLEDGE! Thank you!!

I’d love your thoughts on a DB quandary I’m having. I am in a 10 team full IDP 46 man roster dynasty league with a $460 salary cap. We start a full 11 man defensive squad with scoring emphasis on big plays. For the majority of the last 15 years I have steered away from keeping DB’s in any quantity, as I can always seem to pluck a rookie DB up in the auction, or find someone to plug in. That said, my DB’s haven’t really ever been the strength of my squad. This year I’m finding myself toying with eight (*yes, I said eight!) DBs. Here they are:

Starters

Collins, Nick GBP S - $18

Jackson, Tanard TBB S - $5

Delmas, Louis DET S - $8

Phillips, Kenny NYG S - $12

Backups

Burnett, Morgan GBP S ® - $5

Chung, Patrick NEP S - $8

Mays, Taylor SFO S ® - $6

Whitner, Donte BUF S - $7

Phillips and Whitner are on the bubble based on return from injury and ability to win a starting job. The others all seem like solid keepers who are for the most part inexpensive and young. Am I being silly?

Hello fellas!

Question concerning the value of Reggie Wayne in a PPR dynasty, IPD too of course!

It seems I have an option to trade Wayne for the #3 pick in this years draft, I also have it on fairly good authority that Dez Bryant will be there with that pick, the two teams at 1 and 2 going RB....

So, I have a win now team, with Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson in a start 3 WR league... I have a solid QB in Schaub and a good TE in Daniels, Rbs are S.Jackson and J.Stewart

Is this a trade I should execute, or does it hinder my chances at the championship this year?

What say ye?? I would also love to know what Dr.Rockso thinks!

If you guys get a chance, can you touch a bit on Wes Welker's value both this season and going forward in a ppr dynasty league? Had the opportunity to acquire him for a 2nd+3rd round pick next season and I'm wondering if he's worth taking a chance on? Will he likely start the year on PUP? If he does, does that pretty much kill any value for this season or can he still come back 2nd half and produce as a solid WR2 down the stretch and for the FF playoffs? If he doesn't have any value this year, is he too old to give up a 2nd+3rd purely for 2011 value and beyond? Thanks!
