Long time subscriber, love the show, would love your opinions.
I've been in a dynasty league for several years, and year after year have the deepest team in the league. I've had a pretty dominant team the past few years, but the rest of the league has been catching up, and I don't like the feeling. I have been playing around with the idea of doing something dramatically different with my team, and would like to get your thoughts.
I am thinking about waiving some of my solid depth guys that I just don't play much...decent players go that will quickly get snatched up by other teams. I would do this in order to pick up young players with potential but that I may have to sit on for a while. I like the idea of building for the future, and this is just about the only way I can do it. (This league doesn't allow trades...I know it's crazy.)
So what do you think about cutting some guys who are solid but not spectacular contributors that I just don't start, and taking on unproven boom-or-bust guys that I'll have to wait on for a while? Some of these guys I would let go will likely be starters on teams that I will go up against, and I don't like the idea of that. But I do like the idea of finding young talent that can help me the next 5 years.
One last question...my quirky league doesn't have playoffs, and the winner is whoever is on top after Week 17. Is it just me, or is that just goofy?
Thanks again guys!
