The Bacon Alarm Clock & Bacon Cooking Thread (1 Viewer)

thick cut bacon slowly cooked in the oven is the way to do it
Whoa whoa whoa. You've said a lot of dumb #### around here, but this takes the cake. Bacon in the oven?? Ban him.
have you ever tried cooking bacon in the oven?
I haven't, so unlike other threads, I will reserve judgment on your opinion until I have tried it. (Um, how long and at what temperature?).
cook @ 350. using thick cut bacon place it on a tray like this and use a little olive oil so it doesnt stick http://www.deliciously-thin.com/images/cooking-bacon-in-the-oven-2.jpg

and cook it 20 minutes on each side (but this gets it crispy the way I like it, if you dont like very crispy you'd want to cook it for a shorter time on each side)

ends up looking like this http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_gLGOsirSkHc/S8SV5V5U-BI/AAAAAAAAL7Y/VQDMN0zTOhg/s1600/baked+bacon.jpg

Thanks, I will try it out - I usually use an old fashioned grill on a gas stove, I will see if I like it better.
