They're at best a 9-7 football team. The Bucs are the rulers of the NFC South.

Feel free to mock me...Or better yet, jump on the bandwagon. There's plenty of room.I'll bump this thread every sunday.

I don't know about all that. I have long said that Atl is going to win that Division however and is the best team in the NFC South, as well as underrated.

You've got to admit, Carolina has a BRUTAL schedule. They can't afford to lose home games like they did today.

Why do you care so much about the Panthers?
I don't think its so much caring about the Panthers as it is he (as well as myself) is tired of hearing how great the Panthers are and how they're going to win the Super Bowl. I think the Panthers have a good team. But they really need to get rid of Dan Morgan and find a MLB who actually can make more than 1 tackle a month before suffering a concussion.

:goodposting: My lord EVERY YEAR it is the same played out Panthers vs Colts SB predictions. :wall:

He should probably speak for himself, and being that you are a Bucs fan I can see why you feel the way you do. From what I've read, John Fox detest hearing about how they are favored to win the NFC. It isn't Carolina's fault about the press they get. They are actually a pretty quiet team. The press are the one's that make the noise.

Every year? I only started hearing they were favored last year and this year. Anyway, your Carolina hate is well documented in your post.

I never see you speak favorably about Foster in threads. You are always in there giving your negative view. You are also condescending and toolish in many post you do in general.

Like I said, I'm incredibly petty. And as a Seahawks fan, it rubs me the wrong way that Carolina gets so much love after getting destroyed by the Seahawks in the NFC title game.At any rate, the Panthers lost to a terrible New Orleans team last year in week one and ended up having a great season. Things are looking good for Panthers haters like myself, but it's a long season....And after watching the Seahawks struggle immensely to beat the Detriot Lions, I'm not feeling as boistorous as I usually do.

I was surprised at how much the Seahawks struggled agains the Lions. Maybe the Lions have a much better D this year. The Seahawks last year had some games against some teams that weren't that good, that they squeezed by like the 49ers. At least they won. It might have been ugly, but in the end they got a W.

I'd love to say that the Seahawks played down to the level of the Lions, but that would be a lie. Their D just kicked our ### today.Thank God the Seahawks have a home game next week. They need one!

I don't understand that myself, and I am a Panther fan. With Seattles schedule and the fact they are darn good, I would think they would be the most favored.

Repeat after me: Buccosfan is not a Tampa Bay Bucs fan. In fact, I'm an Eagles fan and a Pirates fan, hence BUCCOS. Not BUCS.

:goodposting: Schedule is very tough, even more so now that New Orleans appears to be a better team.
Losing their starting left tackle Travelle Wharton for the season in the game Sunday didn't help. Hopefully they can shift around the offensive line, and they will gel. They looked like garbage Sunday.

Carolina was actually better on the road (6-2) than they were at home (5-3) last year. It will be interesting to see how they rebound from such a costly (in more ways than one) week 1 loss.

They lost to NO in the opening game last year at home. A lot of teams that were in the playoffs last year lost this past weekend.

True. Writing off a team based on their week 1 performance is stupid. But there's no denying that they have an incredibly difficult schedule.Check out these 10 upcoming games:

@Minnesota

@Tampa Bay

@ Baltimore

@ Cincinnati

Dallas

@ Washington

@ Philadelphia

N.Y. Giants

Pittsburgh

@ Atlanta

Wow. Thoughts on their defense the rest of the way? Atl may be the best rushing team in the NFL, so I don't want to overreact, but are these guys still a top 5 defense?

I didn't get a chance to see the game, but I'm guessing it was more of a fluke than anything. They are still loaded on the DL and at CB, I don't see how those guys all of a sudden forget how to play. Maybe it shows just how good the strength of the Falcons running game. They face a tough Vikings OL but if they don't do well against them I'll be concerned.

Seems to me the underplayed steroid story had some merit. They don't look nearly as tough as they used to. :shock:
