Chris Johnson destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise.
WTF are you nerds even talking about? Please take your light saber duels to the PM's.
How about we get back to CJ discussion for this week?awesome...just awesome !Chris Johnson destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise.
gold.Only Chris Johnson himself could save this thread at this point.
totally hilarious! i was curious how this thread could still be rolling along...now we know.WTF are you nerds even talking about? Please take your light saber duels to the PM's.

LenDale White - RB - Titans LenDale White was added to the Titans' injury report Thursday with a shoulder issue. He had "limited" participation in practice. This is probably not a major concern because LenDale was still able to work out in some capacity, but if he's limited at all Sunday against Jacksonville, Chris Johnson would be a better RB2 play. Check White's status on Friday. Sep. 25 - 5:05 p.m. ET
It is...Chris Johnson is so fast - he's memorized every neuroscience text book - even the ones not printed yetChris Johnson is so fast, they added a new Element CJ to the periodic tableChris Johnson is so fast, even a PhD won't help you explain himChris Johnson is so fast - he's the next link in the evolutionary processChris Johnson is so fast - he's been to a galaxy far, far away and brought light sabers back with himIn other news... this week it looks like Johnson may be forced to carry the full load. It should provide some answers to questions about him being an every down back, including short yardage opps. Is he a 'must start' if White is out?I thought this thread was about Chris Johnson when I clicked on it
Tap the brakes. I doubt White is out so lets not get ahead of ourselves. But to answer the next part of your question, he's a must start even when White's not out. Havent you been paying attention? In other news... this week it looks like Johnson may be forced to carry the full load. I thought the Titans were playing the Vikings? At my signal, unleash hell.

Yeah thats either a Roto typo. But it would surprise me if CJ3 were asked to play both the Jags and Vikings Sunday.I thought the Titans were playing the Vikings? At my signal, unleash hell.

Source: Scout.comAnd who does he point to as the example of who he wants to be like? None other than Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson, who set the league afire last year by finishing second in the NFL in rushing with 1,341 yards and winning Offensive Rookie off the Year honors. The 3-0 Titans host Peterson and the Vikings Sunday at LP Field. Johnson, who met Peterson in the offseason through Vikings receiver Aundrae Allison, who was Johnson’s college teammate at East Carolina, made sure to pick Peterson’s brain in the meeting for any sort of pointers he could use as Johnson entered his rookie season. “I pretty much want to accomplish most of the things that Adrian Peterson accomplished last year, things such as Rookie of the Year, going to the Pro Bowl and things like that,” Johnson said. “I know that’s going to take a lot of work, so I’ll just keep working hard. “I met actually him down in Miami, and we talked. He gave me advice. He said no matter how I’m feeling, he told me to stay in the weight room and make sure I stay on my squats and stuff like that.” So how does Peterson feel about Johnson emulating him? “That’s one thing from one running back to another, you want to give good tips,” Peterson said. “There are things you’ve been through, that I’ve been through my first year that can help him out going into his first year. “It feels good. It makes me realize that I’m making a statement and getting myself out there to have younger guys looking up to me. He’s definitely got all it takes. He’s a strong guy, and (he has) the key ingredient; he does have the speed. I’m sure y’all have seen that displayed before. I think he’s got the opportunity to be good.” Another thing Peterson told Johnson was that in order to maximize his potential, he had to become a complete running back, not just a ball carrier.
Outstanding find. Thanks for posting this.Chris Johnson wants to emulate Adrian Peterson:

IBT 'I want to play in your league' commentIs the train slowing down? LumpDale White thinks so.I'm disappointed no one in my league is on this train; I can't get any WR of value for him in a straight-up trade, and there's no use dealing him for Laveranues Coles types.
"In before the" People like to post this when they are anticipating a certain response. What does "IBT" mean
It's a text messaging world!!!!I guess that saves them the discomfort of typing 8 more letters.

Nice. I traded Rivers and Norwood for CJ and O'Sullivan..... Let's get it started!I'm on board fellas. I decided I'd trade Aaron Rodgers for CJ. Although, I probably won't be using him for three weeks with Minn, Balt, and then a bye week. I really like some of his matchups after that though.
Stuck him back in over Mendenhall @ the last minute :XThats why you don't EVER bench CJ. TOUCHDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWN!
Chris Johnson totaled 61 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries and caught three passes for 14 yards in Week 4 against the Vikings.
Johnson had a surprising amount of success running against the Vikings' stout front line early before being held to 17 yards on seven second-half carries. He stayed on the field for multiple goal-line chances, scoring twice from short yardage to further sap LenDale White's fantasy value. He now looks like a must-start regardless of matchup.
I'm not sure who covered the Titans game today, but I'd say that's a pretty accurate assessment except for one small quibble: Chris Johnson was already a must-start unless you have two other playmaking studs on your roster.LenDale White rushed 11 times for 13 yards and one touchdown in Week 4 against the Vikings.
As expected White was useless trying to power his way through the Vikings' defensive line, but saved an otherwise miserable game with a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter. However, White continues to take a secondary role behind Chris Johnson and was even on the sidelines for numerous goal-line chances.
I was disappointed. I saw his BMI bouncing all over the place on both of his TD runs. I recommend everyone drop him now!!! You cannot have your BMI exposed like that and expect to be considered a good FF running back!!!!
He had a very mediocre day today with the exception of those two goal line scores. That said, it's a very good sign that he was getting carries so close to the stripe. If he can continue to get a healthy chunk of the goal line carries then he'll remain a must-start in almost every league. Long term I'm still not ready to hop on the "CJ = superstar" wagon. In some respects, he benefits from playing on such a bad team. When Justin Gage is your best WR and LenDale White is your only competition for RB touches, you're going to get a lot of opportunities to make plays if you're a halfway decent player. I think there are several rookie backs who could thrive on the Titans. It will be interesting to see how CJ does from here on out. Kerry Collins is a better pure passer than Vince Young, but the Titans remain one of the least talented passing teams in the league. If they haven't already, teams are going to start putting a lot of their defensive focus on Johnson. We may already be seeing the effects of that. Johnson's YPC has dropped every week this season. The key questions that linger for me:1. Can he stay healthy with this heavy workload over a full season?2. Will his YPC continue to dip?3. Will he get a good percentage of the goal line opportunities? No doubt he's having a fine season and he's been a nice investment for whoever acquired him in dynasty leagues in the offseason. I still say he's closer to Garner and Dunn than Tomlinson and Westbrook. I fully expect him to rip a couple long TDs at some point though. It's only a matter of time.Yes, history is littered with RBs who excelled on bad teams. CJ definitely gets more opportunities to make plays when the whole defense is keying on him.In some respects, he benefits from playing on such a bad team.

There's little denying that part of the reason why he's getting so many touches is for lack of other viable options. What else is Tennesee going to do? Give the ball to LenDale "three yards and a cloud of bust" White? Chuck it deep to Justin Gage and Justin McCareins? Playing on a good team can be advantageous for a RB because it can lead to more goal line opportunities. Playing on a bad team can be advantageous for a RB because it means he's the only option on offense. Domanick Davis was a much better FF back than NFL back because the Texans were constantly feeding him the ball out of desperation. We're seeing the same thing with Forte and Johnson.Yes, history is littered with RBs who excelled on bad teams. CJ definitely gets more opportunities to make plays when the whole defense is keying on him.In some respects, he benefits from playing on such a bad team.![]()
Cmon....you're a great poster but this is getting silly. Ya, your ypc tends to drop when you play the #1 rush defense in the league. Can ADP stay healthy? He's shown no signs of wear but injuries are a concern with any back. The goal line situation was a concern but what has been an achilles heel to his FF stardom may be somewhat in the past. White will still be there and will still vulture some but this is CJ's team, no doubt about it. The entire offense runs through him.I was disappointed. I saw his BMI bouncing all over the place on both of his TD runs. I recommend everyone drop him now!!! Is this new on the Titans? They are, have been and always will be a run 1st, 2nd and 3rd team.... Also, is that a bad thing to be far and away the most talented player on the offense? There's little denying that part of the reason why he's getting so many touches is for lack of other viable options. What else is Tennesee going to do? Give the ball to LenDale "three yards and a cloud of bust" White? Chuck it deep to Justin Gage and Justin McCareins? "Won't . . . allow . . . myself . . . to . . . believe."At least you're adjusting your opinion each week. At this pace, you will become a true believer by Week 8. Yeah the Titans suck and Chris Johnson is a regular Larry Johnson getting 40 carries a game. What is your point? Are you saying that Chris Johnson is only a good ff back (not a real RB) because they don't have a traditional #1 receiver? You can argue White was a product of the system last year but not CJ.There's little denying that part of the reason why he's getting so many touches is for lack of other viable options. If it takes him until week 8, he is either in denial, or a bad judge of talent...or maybe a bit of both. The guy is clearly the real deal, how anyone can still deny it is beyond me. To think, he is putting up these numbers and hasnt even busted off a long TD yet."Won't . . . allow . . . myself . . . to . . . believe."At least you're adjusting your opinion each week. My point is what I said: in some respects, being on a bad team is helping his FF production.Yeah the Titans suck and Chris Johnson is a regular Larry Johnson getting 40 carries a game. It was just an observation. I probably should've expected Johnson to make a big early impact given the lack of other options on the team. The three rookie RBs who have seen the biggest value bump since the offseason are also the three guys with the weakest competition for touches (Forte, Slaton, Johnson). It underscores the importance of opportunity in FF.but like I said...hasn't this been known all along?
