Where does the assumption that White is a bruising back who grinds out the tough yards come from, other than his size?
Here's a comparison of White to fellow Titans RB of the last 2 seasons in grind-it-out situations:
Goal-to-go:
White 2007: 24-55 2.3 ypc, 7 td
Brown 2007/T.Henry 2006: 32-78 2.4 ypc, 10 td
3rd/4th <3
White 2007: 18-25
Brown 2007/T.Henry 2006: 10-22
How do White's stats above indicate some kind of superior chain-moving bruising style that Brown and Henry don't have? I assume no one's going to say it comes from his 3.9 ypc on 1stD and 8-10 to go compared to Brown's 5.0 last year or Henry's 4.9 the year before.
