The Chris Johnson Hype machine (1 Viewer)

well, I guess this is the last week that CJ sits on my bench. I wasn't smart enough to start him, but at least I was smart enough to draft him
I have two FBG's ranked top 10 RBs in a start 2 RB league with Johnson on my bench.I'm thinking I'll have to find a way to get him in my starting lineup.

I am ALL on the CJ3 train, BUT, i can't bring myself to start him over Reggie Bush.
well at least you'll only make that mistake onceand i love all the posters who got on here saying "no way you can start him over Bush"LOL

CJ looking like a young Westbrook. I thought he would be my RB3/Flex starter this year with AD and LJ ahead of him. But, now I might have to elevate him to the #2 spot. What a find. The dynasty guys must be freaking right now.

I wonder if Fish is going to reconsider his "50-50 split" with White? So far at the half of game 1, it's 11 touch's to 3 and the impact when the ball gets in their hands is like night and day. I could definitely see a 75-25 split for the season...he's a threat everytime he touch's the ball...

Lendale who? The messiah has arrived and remarkably EXCEEDED the hype. I'm absolutely giddy about his prospects, he looks tremendous and this is against a very tough defense.
Exactly.

 In my "big money" keep 1 league we got him in the 10th round or so. If this is a sign of things to come I'm pretty certain he's going to be kept going forward.

Chris Johnson: 95 total yards and 1 TD in the first half.LenDale White: 3 rushes for 6 yards.
I started Lendale today over CJ due to Lewis' injury in my non-PPR league. :D The good news is that I will have CJ to start for the rest of the year. Lesson learned. Won't make the same mistake again.

I still think his legs are too skinny to be all that productive. So far today he's been a product of the Fish Offense.

Give Jeff Fisher credit. I really thought it would take the conservative Fisher longer to get CJ heavily involved despite him being one of the best HCs in the NFL (he also tends to favor veterans). He's not dumb, tho. :)

Now, enough bragging. :( CJ has played one half of real-live NFL football. This game could also be atypical from what we might see in the future. Meaning, maybe CJ is getting a lot more touches due to a specific gameplan. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. That said, I believe he's a special, special talent, but it still could possibly take awhile before he actually becomes their feature back . If this trend does continue next week, it's probably safe to say CJ will get the vast majority of touches this season (provided health).

If you dont want to se bragging, you better stay out of this thread. The worst is yet to come.

I benched CJ for DeAngelo. I'll back next week to do my bragging.

I am one of the buffoons who has him on my bench this week. I really wanted to see how things played out before starting him and had no expectation of him getting this many carries this week. Looks like I should be listening to you all a bit more.

Decided to start him because I thought he'd catch 5-6 passes, but he's quickly made White irrelevant as he looks tremendous between the tackles, hitting the holes the O-line opens up. Frankly he looks like what the Saints plan for Reggie Bush was when they drafted him.

I was optimistic thinking he'd sneak in around RB15 in PPR's (splitting touches with White), but if he's splitting carries (or more) with White, we're probably looking at Top 10 (ppr league).

I think you misread my post. I've been extremely high on CJ since he came out, but when I wrote "Now, enough bragging", I meant me. :) It was also a reminder that it's only week 1, but yeah, I really, really like what I see. The one "myth" I wanted CJ to dispell was not being able to run inside, & he's done that. CJ hits the hole hard & keeps his legs moving. He's big enough @ 200 with the power he generates simply from his acceleration as he hits the line of scrimmage (he's also strong for his size).

He was walking to the lockeroom under his own power. He should be fine.
Good lord. Talk about a whole fantasy season flashing before your eyes. Let's get some updates in here!!
Surely you don't really have a whole fantasy season pinned to Chris Johnson.
If dude was going to play like this all season, then yeah...he would have helped out. :bag:

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe it was a severe cramp in his calf (at least that's what it looked like going by the actions of the trainer). He had been bothered by cramps earlier in the game (very hot in TEN). He could be getting an IV in the lockeroom.

UPDATE: CJ is back in the game :bag:
