The Cincy-Dayton-Columbus League is underway (4 Viewers)

UPDATE:

If this is to happen again this year, we need to pull this together fairly quick. We have only have 3 weekends (really 2 unless we get everything together before next weekend). We would like to recontact all 12 participants from last year and a couple of legacy FBGs that didn't make it last year. We are certainly open to those who want to participate and can be there in person for the draft. We will do our best to work something out.

Last year's League members (I think ...based on old notes I found):

- cheese
- guster
- shuke
- trogg
- odin33
- peyton marino
- big john
- patriot john
- cacksman
- binky
- CJ

- Bonzai

We need to set the date and place. Plan on approx. 6pm-7pm start. Friday or Saturday night. Right now Guster can host again IF we do it by the weekend of the Aug. 28th/29th. If we extend to September 4th or 5th then we also need to find a place.

1) Please check in here or respond to my pm to confirm your participation and/or strong interest. Its important that we lock things down.

1) Please indicate days you absolutely cannot make it and then your preference (or no preference).

- Friday, Aug 21st

- Saturday, Aug 22nd

- Friday, Aug 28th

- Saturday, Aug 29th

- Friday, Sept 4th

- Saturday, Sept 5th

Same rules (PPR), same entry fee - $75 (as far as I know ...).

I coach on Friday nights. Weird year for me this year with the baby but I'll do what I can to make any Saturday.

 
Ok so Friday's are out it would appear.

Gustar has a much better poker table but I can host if needed ( just need to know asap to clear schedule and get sitter for kids). I will confirm with the Mrs. But I think all the dates are open now ( still scheduling 2 drafts so that will change).

Thanks Odin! With Guster being good for the first two Saturday options - would you please (temporarily at least) put a hold for that last Saturday (Sept. 5th)? Where do you live (general area - town/suburb) so people can get a sense of their travel?

Thanks Shuke! Looks like things are narrowing down to 5th pretty quickly. That would mean Odin's place where ever the hell he lives.

 
I can do any of the remaining Saturdays (22, 29, 5) , Friday 21st, Sunday 30th, Friday 4th.

No:

Evening of Sunday 23rd

Friday 28th (could only do if we were done by 10pm)

Sunday 6th (could only do if done by 8pm)

Thanks to all that have been able to get back so far. We have quite a mish-mash of schedules at this point - here is a summary thus far:

Big John - Fridays are difficult/Saturdays are ok - but prefer 8/29

Trogg - Fridays if held later than 7pm/all Saturdays are good

Cheese - Fridays are out/all Saturdays are good

Odin - open all dates - can host if on 9/4 - 9/5 weekend

Shuke - only options are Fri. 8/28 or Sat. 9/5 (Fri. 9/4 possible but not good)

Cacksman - good for all dates (though would have to done by 10pm if it were Fri. 8/28)

Peyton - out for now due to work schedule

Guster - good for all but Fri/Sat - 9/4 and 9/5 (can host if earlier date)

Doowain/Binky - Doowain good only for 8/21 and 8/22 - and Fri. 8/28

Patriot John - in Iraq and out

Bonzai - haven't heard back - sent email (his PM box is full)

CJ* - haven't heard back - sent PM

Also sent PMs to FDAS, WampusCat, and Derek245583 but haven't heard back yet.

Been ok for me but I was concerned that might be it. Thanks - I'll work on it.

ETA: I don't get the save as web doc option that I can see from the tutorials I pulled up. If anyone else can do this - I will be happy to email this doc to you.

Eek, not a single day works for everyone. Are we calling it?

I know I have a family league draft coming up too, but is still TBD. Looking like the Friday of Labor day weekend at this point.

And for the record I live near Loveland. About 5 minutes off Exit 52 on 275.

Trying to organize this late is going to be impossible unless we look at weeknights.

ugh. Really wish I could make it this year but can't. I always stay in Loveland with family when I'm there.

Yep. Weeknights might be the way to go.

 
New wrinkle: If it's a weeknight I can't host. I've got two young kids in school.

I'm ok with drafting on a week night, just can't host.

 
We need to hear from a few more people on the dates we are targeting - but let's go ahead and hear from each in the group about weekday availability. To simplify things - please just list those dates you cannot make for somewhere in the Dayton-Cincy area.

Not looking great here - but we still have time to work something out.

Do we have others in the area that are interested?

I hope you'll make the first draft pick in honor of JAFO.

 
I'm already committed to 3 leagues this year but appreciate the invite. If you have the draft during the week I might be able to come by and have a beer with you. I haven't been down to the Beer Sellar since we last set it afire.

You guys could always cut it to an 8- or 10-team league. Good luck.

 
Not yet heard from CJ*, Bonzai, FDAS, or Derek on interest/availability yet. Derek did ask a question about the location but hasn't gotten back yet. Flap and Wampus can't make it.

Currently the leading dates are:

- 7 people that can make the Sat. 8/22 date

- 6 people that can make the Sat. 9/5 date

No feedback on weekdays yet if the group wants to try and go that way as well.

 
Let's just draft here on the message board or use the yahoo draft room this year. We can live draft next year with a better plan. This way we can keep the league alive.

How are you guys with this? I haven't heard back from CJ* and Bonzai yet and I don't know about Patriot John's availability for an internet draft. We could have 3 spots open for a 12 team - but could always expand if people are open to it.

Can we get everyone to let us know in here on wanting to play via internet draft? Sounds like we have so far:

- Cheese

- Trogg

- Binky (can still team up with Doowain or have separate teams based on league need)

- Peyton Marino
