I like to draft with the playoff and championship games in mind. I also have been known to draft the top red zone targets from the same team to boost consistency. For example, last year I targeted VJax and Gates which turned out great. This year I was thinking about targeting some combination of Manning, Wayne, Clark and Barber. Problem is that when you hit FF playoffs these guys will only be playing half a game, if that.
This is a HUGE problem.
As far as I can tell rankings aren't really taking this into account. Last year in one league I replaced Wayne for the championship game for the win. I mean, how valuable is Peyton Manning if he isn't available during the money games? If you're reading this in July and are thinking about writing a reply chances are you aren't the kind of playa who's satisfied just making the playoffs. Best case scenario is trading them away after 10-ish games but you can't count on getting a decent deal. What's your angle?
