If you look through the past several months in this forum, from time to time there is the question of: what baseball site is out there that is perhaps most like FBG. Something that has player rankings, auction values, player analysis/outlook, recaps of seasonal changes, good preseason info, good in-season info, suggest waiver-wire pickups, sleepers, who to avoid, etc.

Each time there are usually only a few responses. Well, I went through several of them, and have posted the responses as poll choices. Let's see if 1 or 2 sites really stand out as the best.

And feel free to post your opinions as to the pros and cons of these sites as well.

I don't think there is one "best" one.

For my money....

Rotowire has the best player updates/injuries etc..., but now that's it a pay site, I don't find it to be that much better.

Rotoworld has the best free information available.

Rototimes, rotosucks

Baseball prospectus has great thinking mans stuff, but I really don't think it helps at all fantasy baseball wise. In fact, I think they sometimes think too much into stuff and it becomes a hinderence more than a help. I used to enjoy their articles immensely, but now I really don't have the time to read too much of it.

Mastersball used to have the best forums, but they got a little too full of themselves or something. I've checked in their new website, but will not be spending too much time there.

I don't spend time anywhere else, but I think John Hunt is the best at this stuff, and I look forward to his articles each week. Not sure if he has any online stuff though.

Reminds me to subscribe to Baseball Prospectus again. Thanks.BaseballHQ is decent, but overpriced.
I liked their constant projection updating (through the whole season) but it was WAY over priced. I'm on the fence about re-upping my subscription but I dont think I will because its too much money.

FWIW the providers of most of those sites as well as most customers agree there is no ONE site that is perfect for all aspects or rotisserie/fantasy baseball.

You pick the ones that combine to give YOU what you need.

If everything YOU need is on free sites then that is the way you should go.

Personally I doubt that is the case for the serious FF or FB players which is again why most of them pay for one or more subscription sites.

Don't forget about Baseball Tangent. Won my league, knowing emparrasingly little about baseball , with help from Pickles, Tiger Fan and others.
