Besides which, bad weather usually favors A GOOD offense since they know the play and the defense needs to react. Last I checked, Eagles were the #1 offense in the league.

There is almost nothing I could read in the SP about Vick or the weather or how the G-men defense will swarm all over the field that would keep me from starting Vick over a select few QB's this week. Keep the funny posts coming though, I love a good laugh.

What constitutes a 'disaster'? So far in my league (pretty much standard FBG scoring) Vick has not scored less then 24 fpts in any game he has started and finished. Meanwhile, PManning & ARodgers have each had 5 healthy weeks of sub-24 and DBrees, PRivers & TBrady have all had 7.

Do people just start these threads so if/ when Vick does have a below average week they can bump their threads to say "see, I told you!"?

I admit I'm worried too. I have Vick in 3 leagues but also 3 pretty solid alternatives (Peyton Manning, Ryan, and Brady). At this point I'm REALLY torn. I agree you never bench your studs, but Manning and Brady are studs too.

This week I would rank them:Brady>Manning>=Vick>Ryan

And I have Brady (the great thing about Vick is he was on waiver wires..... twice so chances are many may have decent options).......I'm just waiting to see if Rodgers starts in NE.I didn't think that game Vick had vs the NYG was so great earlier this year either. He did have one TD pass dropped I remember that, and he had some bad luck where he could have possibly had another TD, but it just seemed like the Giants held him in check somehow. The Giants defense is on a roll and they get the Eagles in NJ.But no, no disaster. He's a FF points machine.

Nah.....you play Vick in that situation. If Rivers has a huge game you still have the potential for an even bigger game from Vick. If Rivers stinks then you have to stew for 3 days before Vick plays and makes you feel even worse.That's why it's always so tempting to start your guys who play on SNF and MNF.

What makes you so sure Vick wont do better? I had Vick and Rivers too and chose Vick without a second thought. Given the choice to take Rivers and the 25 points he up or take my chances, I STILL would take Vick.

I'd have a big gafaw if Vick puts up a stinker in this one. Everyone's so convinced he's impervious.

For the record, I don't think any quarterback is impervious. Could Vick put up a stinker? I guess so. But I'm not going to out-think myself and bench him for Matt Ryan (my next best alternative). If Ryan ends up outscoring Vick and the point difference ends up swinging a win into a loss, oh well. I'll sleep well knowing that the "right" decision doesn't always work out.

i have the exact same combo and i'm starting vick without hesitation. i guess i'm oldskool, i'd rather go down with the ship starting my studs than get cute and regret it all off-season.

You mean the same matchup where here threw for 250 yards, and ran for another 35 and a score? Care to make a side bet on Vick being a top 5 qb? Vick's floor (around 16-17 pts) is a good game for most qb's in the league.

the guy i played had him and djax, i didnt look at his lineup before the games started i just assumed he started both........8 minutes left in the 4th quarter i'm feeling great, then VIck goes nuts, Djax returns the punt...........i accept the fact that i've been eliminated.........look at his score, and he started jon kitna!! kitna did great 300 yards td's, but not good enough, guess these people benching vick were almost right.

Well guess what I won my 6th game in a row and im headed to the superbowl.. Vick and company are matchup proof!..
