Call her over to the computer as you bench all your players for the championship game and congratulate her for a great season. Touched by your gesture she will bench her players as well. At that point take her out to lunch before the games start to prove how meaningless football is compared to her. Once there excuse yourself to use the restroom and use your cellphone to put your lineup back in. Enjoy your meal as you crush your spouse. When she is sobbing about finishing in second place tell her not to worry, she's still the first loser in your book. This will bring you two closer in the end.

BTW: This exact scenario happened with me and my wife back in '97 (click on avatar for pic). She knows more about football than several other owners in my league. That yr, she cruised to the playoffs behind the Denver machine of Elway, T.Davis, McCaffrey (yes, she drafted all 3 including T.Davis before anybody really knew who he was.....she knew who he was b/c she's a UGA grad)

...........while I struggled, but squeaked into the playoffs with Kordell Stewart and company. We won our 1st round matchups and met in the Championship. She also claimed she didn't care about who won.

Luckily, I beat her and took the title. (and I haven't won in that league since)

And.........after that year......she retired from fantasy football
