And secondly, I'm not so sure. While McCoy is "coming back to earth" Blount's carries and time played per game still remain an enigma. Last week he only had 10 carries and turned in a pretty good fantasy day, the week before he didn't really play til second half, and the week before is the game where he blew up.(Most of it being in the 2nd half). As an owner, I still have no idea how TB is going to be using him forward, and for that reason alone I'd have to give it to mccoy by default.
I own Blount in all my leagues, and I'd rather have McCoy due to the certainty of his role. McCoy is in the game if Philly is down 14pts, up 14pts, or tied. Blount can be excluded from the gameplan in a heartbeat if Tampa goes down 2 TDs.
It seems like there are multiple threads where people are overreacting about McCoy (and Harrison) based on a game where the Eagles had scored 45 points at the half. I wouldn't put much stock in what happened in the running game in that game.
IMHO: McCoy is a low level RB1 or high level RB2 in most league formats. Blount is a low RB2 to high RB3/flex.
