Or is it more the opponents they've been playing the last 3 games in Washington, Atlanta and Dallas??

They looked absolutely horrible in the beginning of the season, particularly against Seattle & Philly. Are they just finally gelling at this point, or will they struggle again against the better offensive teams in the league?

The talent on their defense is weighted towards their front seven, and now (given the LB injuries) towards the front four.

If those guys are up against a weak or struggling o-line (and Washington's and Dallas' would certainly qualify; not as sure about Atlanta's) then they can be dominant.

If not, and if the QB is able to have time enough to get passes off, they won't look as good.

For me it's that simple.

ANY defense that gives the QB time to get passes off won't look good.

The Giants D line just matches up very well with the Cowboys O Line. Throw in a slow footed QB and you have yesterday's result 9 times out of 10.

Nothing really to do with how good the Giants are or how bad the Cowboys are... just a great one sided matchup.

They also sacked Vick 7 times. I guess they matched up really well with Atlanta's OL.
