The Good Doctor (1 Viewer)

My wife and I both enjoy this show. I had Freddie ingrained as Norman, but he does such a great job in this role.

Yeah, I'd imagine its not a bad show.  Unfortunately it got the MEGA push during other shows and sports on ABC and that push came with an eye-rolling horrible first trailer

"HE SEES THINGS AND PROCESSES THINGS IN WAYS OTHER PEOPLE CAN'T!!!!!!"

He reminds me of Charlie Babbitt who is autistic in The Rain Man. In that movie, Charlie has a gift of memory and processing complicated stuff in ways that no other human being can. I think it's a good show. Sheds light that autistic people are not 'dumb' and home bound. Many contribute to society. My brother in-law was autistic. Smart kid really. He never lied either and in this show, the good doc can't either no matter what, as we saw on last night's show.

What makes it worse is the silly graphics they use when IT is happening and the blank stare off into the air. I don't know any autistic people that are as high functioning as him(I only know two children both also named Sean strangely enough), so my reference points may be off, but that just seems kinda lame.

Of course they are dramaticising it some, but still the staring off as they are thinking I've seen in my bro in-law. It's a show first but it does shed some light on autism in general. He's a great actor just like Dustin Hoffman was in that movie.
