YOu couldn't buy anyone any lower than Randy Moss. He is being dropped in many leagues, and even though he sucks horribly, he does have serious upside.

Again, if you can get Lewis cheap (scrub player/waiver addition) then he is worth a shot. He is still a starting back, and his upcoming schedule is against some poor run defenses (Saints, Bengals, Titans). If he could add a TD to the numbers he is already putting up per game then it isn't so bad. Won't necessarily win ya games, but won't lose em for ya either.

I wonder if I should offer Marion Barber for him?

I traded him straight up for Barber. He has been sitting on my bench for 3 weeks. To me, Barber has more upside. He is a vulture. Dallas has a very neutral strength of schedule after Carolina. Always the possibility of Julius missing some time.
