Anthony Gonzalez to the Bengals? Are you thinking of moving him to tight end?
Maybe it's because Chris Henry may be out of Bengal stripes before too long (and possibly into another, different set of stripes).Oh, and Kelley Washington is in NE now.IdAnthony Gonzalez to the Bengals? Are you thinking of moving him to tight end?

Exactly my thinking, Id.Maybe it's because Chris Henry may be out of Bengal stripes before too long (and possibly into another, different set of stripes).Oh, and Kelley Washington is in NE now.IdAnthony Gonzalez to the Bengals? Are you thinking of moving him to tight end?
I'd be fine with that seeing that Levy has ties to Chicago management.Bills may have to trade with CHI to get that 1.06...What a wild off season this has been for trades...
Working my way through the 2nd round...
33. Oakland - Tony Ugoh Not sure I like this pick despite need. Not sold that Ugoh is an LT yet.
34. Detroit - Jon Beason Great Pick. Nice Cover-2 LB.
35. Tampa Bay - Jarvis Moss Nice Pick here. He has Simeon Rice written all over him.
36. Cleveland - Derrick Blalock You mean Justin Blalock? At what position? They just signed Steinbach to play G. If as an RT then that works.
37. Chicago--? Grab a DT and cut Tank's sorry ###.
38. Arizona - Victor Abiamiri Very underrated player. Not their biggest need but BPA.
39. Atlanta - Dwayne Jarrett Nice Pick. Fixed.
40. Miami - Drew Stanton I dont see it. Id like to see them grab Rice here.
41. Minnesota - Sidney Rice![]()
42. San Francisco - Steve Smith Wont clements be the PR here? If so, not sure Smith is a #1 WR, Id rather trade up for Jarrett here.
43. Washington - Anthony Spencer Branch and Spencer would make the pass rush lethal.
44. Atlanta - Aaron Sears (guard) Nice pick. Versatility is just what they need on the OL.
45. Carolina - Buster Davis Right position, but IMHO, Id rather have HB Blades; tackling was an issue IIRC with both the Panthers and Davis.
46. Pittsburgh - Anthony SpencerSpencer 2x?
47. Green Bay - Jason Hill Isnt he a Jennings clone? Im not too versed with the Pack so cant argue this one.
48. Jacksonville - Rufus AlexanderMoses please. We need a pass rusher and/or a WLB. Moses gives us this versatility.
49. Cincinnati - Anthony Gonzalez![]()
50. Tennessee - Aundrae Allison![]()
51. New York Giants - Dyameion Hughes :X He's terrible in man coverage, and gets burned more often than he makes a good play. McCauley.
52. St. Louis - Stewart Bradley I like him at SAM, but who will play the Will?
53. Dallas - Quentin Moses Great pick, if he makes it past the Jags![]()
54. Kansas City - David IronsThey still need a UT. Id grab Mebane or Pitcock here and call it a heist.
55. Seattle - John WendlingThey just signed Deon Grant to a monster deal to be their FS.
56. Denver - Quinn Pitcock I like this pick.![]()
57. Philadelphia - Aaron Rouse A FS and SS back to back? Didnt Consadine make strides this year?
58. New Orleans - Marcus McCauley Right position, but I think Josh Wilson is a better fit in the cover-2
59. New York Jets - Josh Wilson McCauley should be here.
60. Miami (from New England) - James Marten At what poisition? Until he bulks up he is not an NFL Tackle.
61. Baltimore - Manuel Rodriguez Manuel Ramirez? This guy is a beast and fills a need. Nice.![]()
62. San Diego - Craig Davis![]()
63. New York Jets (from Chicago) - Doug Free As a Guard? If so, then fantastic. I think he's better suited there anyway.
64. Tampa Bay (from Indianapolis) - Ryan Kalil![]()
He's worked his way up the boards. A bit of a reach, but the tackle spot is weeeeaaak after this spot.Working my way through the 2nd round...

I changed that to Tim Crowder.46. Pittsburgh - Anthony SpencerSpencer 2x?
I feel about McCauley what you feel about Hughes.51. New York Giants - Dyameion HughesHe's terrible in man coverage, and gets burned more often than he makes a good play. McCauley.
Jon Alston.52. St. Louis - Stewart Bradley I like him at SAM, but who will play the Will?
Oh man.55. Seattle - John Wendling They just signed Deon Grant to a monster deal to be their FS.
55. Seattle - Ben Patrick
Yes. No.57. Philadelphia - Aaron Rouse A FS and SS back to back? Didnt Consadine make strides this year?
He will.60. Miami (from New England) - James Marten At what poisition? Until he bulks up he is not an NFL Tackle.
I almost gave him to Miami, but I didn't think he could take the heat.61. Baltimore - Manuel Rodriguez Manuel Ramirez? This guy is a beast and fills a need. Nice.![]()
I intended him for tackle. I had them taking Grubbs with the first 2nd round pick.63. New York Jets (from Chicago) - Doug Free As a Guard? If so, then fantastic. I think he's better suited there anyway.
Well they signed pollard but Im not sure what role he will play. If you want to go the TE route, Zach Miller should go here. IIRC Jeramy Stevens was not pulled in to block often and primarily ran routes to the sticks or a bit further. Miller would be a great replacement with better hands and a blue-collar work ethic. He's BPA and fits a need- or else I'd take a shot on Manuel Ramirez.Oh man. They just signed Deon Grant to a monster deal to be their FS. 55. Seattle - Ben Patrick55. Seattle - John WendlingFixed?

He's got the frame of an LT really and is more of a finesse blocker than a mauler. Im not saying he cant play RT, but Im saying that he'd be a better fit as a guard. Unfortunately for Free, D'Brick has locked down that LT spot for years to come.I intended him for tackle. I had them taking Grubbs with the first 2nd round pick.As a Guard? If so, then fantastic. May be, but I think they're enamored with Tab Perry, and they have much bigger needs on defense, speaking of jailbirds.Always enjoy these mocks, though.Anthony Gonzalez to the Bengals? True dat. I must be looking at this stuff for too long.61. Baltimore - Manuel Rodriguez
I almost gave him to Miami, but I didn't think he could take the heat.
He played at Texas Tech. Im sure climate wont be an issue.
Dammit! I'm getting myself all confused here. Free isn't the best fit for the JETS (63. New York Jets (from Chicago) - Doug Free

I actually like Jay Moore or LaMar Woodley in the 3-4. Crowder just seems to have too much trouble shedding his blocks. Thoughts?I changed that to Tim Crowder.46. Pittsburgh - Anthony SpencerSpencer 2x?
55. Seattle - Ben Patrick/Zach Miller
Flip a coin between Miller and Patrick. Miller's slow time at the combine was disappointing.
Hate to be arguing this, as you are not wrong but, this was offset by a stellar pro day.
I meant that I had Tim Crowder going to Washington to play 4-3 DE and Spencer going to Pittsburgh to play 3-4 OLB.I actually like Jay Moore or LaMar Woodley in the 3-4. I missed that. Good to know. Miller it is then.Hate to be arguing this, as you are not wrong but, this was offset by a stellar pro day.55. Seattle - Ben Patrick/Zach Miller

Well, I think they are willing to go into the season with what they now have on the D line... they signed Coleman from Dallas, Haynes from Chicago and now long shot Wadsworth, all DE's. At NT, they will go with Robertson and Pouha. Talk still remains about replacing Barton at ILB for salary reasons, but the biggest need on D remains a CB. Dyson played much better than even Jets fans had hoped, but Barrett who is a very average CB to begin with was nursing a sports hernia last year. Behind those two, there are no viable starting quality CB's on the roster. With both Dyson and Barrett hurt against NE, Brady exposed the CB's in that playoff game. If one of the top 4 CB's are there, Mangini, the ex-defensive backs coach takes one at 25, no doubt in my mind. If the CB's are gone, they could go for a WR. There is no #3 WR, as everyone knows McCariens is gone one way or another. I don't know how much the oft injured Coles can continue to play through so many injuries and cincussions at this level. Niether he nor Cotchery are dangerous, fast deep threat WR's. I could see Meachem at 25 as well. They re-signed a very marginal RT in Clement recently, but RG Moore isn't a long term answer, he's an inexpensive place holder, and Kendall at LG is getting old. This unit as a whole, can't run block and needs more help. I think the Jets use at least one of their two 2nd round picks on the O line, but they could surprise and take yet another OL in the 1st round. So, I'd say:CBWROLI have no good answer for you. I guess I overplayed the Mangini/Belichick connection and BB seems to love his TEs. With Moss & Cotchery at the WR spots, having a playmaking/passcatching TE would really open things up for the offense.I'm not a big proponent of drafting a TE just to help out a weak o-line. So I suppose I was assuming they'd find some o-line help somewhere along the way.Andy, I would still like to see your rationale on the Jets going TE, especially Olsen who isn't regarded as a very good blocking TE. Given the Jets problems with run blocking....What are your top three positions you hope the Jets draft for?
If Chicago does that trade they take Okoye and get rid of Tank.Bills will have to move to #10 to get Willis. No way do they give up their 2nd to move up for a RB.Bills may have to trade with CHI to get that 1.06...What a wild off season this has been for trades...
Any team taking Rouse as a SS is going to be sorely disappointed, IMO. He's pretty weak from a coverage skills standpoint. As a SS I'd compare him to Adam Archuleta, in that if you play him close to the line, mostly in run support, he could be an asset. But if you start asking him to take on coverage responsibilities, he's going to get eaten up at the next level. Some teams have already started talking to him about playing LB in the NFL. I think his NFL.com player profile is pretty good, and makes a comparison between him and Cato June. I think that's a decent LB comp for him.Working my way through the 2nd round...
57. Philadelphia - Aaron Rouse A FS and SS back to back? Didnt Consadine make strides this year?
I'm admittedly conflicted on that pick. He's redeemed himself in the post-season workouts after a relatively poor season.I've also read that he may be moved to linebacker. Seems to be working out for Thomas Davis in Carolina.Any team taking Rouse as a SS is going to be sorely disappointed, IMO. He's pretty weak from a coverage skills standpoint. no matter who has #6- the Bills will not be trading up to take a RB there.I'd be fine with that seeing that Levy has ties to Chicago management.Bills may have to trade with CHI to get that 1.06...What a wild off season this has been for trades...
I am now in agreement with that. I threw it up there to see what discussion would come of it and how it would affect the draft. If they do trade up, I'd have to think it would be for Patrick Willis. As much as trades are fun, I don't believe this draft will have as many of them as people are thinking.no matter who has #6- the Bills will not be trading up to take a RB there.I'd be fine with that seeing that Levy has ties to Chicago management.Bills may have to trade with CHI to get that 1.06...What a wild off season this has been for trades...
I could see the Bills trading up to #10 to leapfrog SF to get Willis. Any higher than that would be cost prohibitive.I am now in agreement with that.
