The Hype Surrounding Vikings RB for the last few years (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to recount the hype surrounding the likes of Michael Bennett, Onterrio Smith, Mewelde Moore, Chester Taylor and now Adrian Peterson.

Is there any reason for the hyper-ventilation surrounding the starting RB for the Vikings or am I just hanging around a strange pocket of enthusiasm? (p.s. I'm in Atlanta, not St. Paul)

I've certainly carried Big Moe Williams as my 3rd in past and ChesterT last year and was successful both times.

Brad Childress runs a RB friendly offense.

I don't think there's any more hype around the Vikings RBs than there ever is for unclear RBBC situations (like the past) or very talented rookie RBs (like right now).

If the Vikings had any kind of passing attack last season I'd say Taylor adds another 4-5 TDs and probably another couple hundred yards. But, as it stands now, I wouldn't complain about a 1500 yard and 6 TD effort from a first year starter on a bad offensive team.

Did he live up to the hype? I'd say so.
