Last week he had 1 catch for 5 yards. I own him as a handcuff to Morris and I want to use him as a Flex but common sense keeps getting in the way. It seems more likely that Washington leans heavily on the run using the read option with an increasingly healthy RG3 and Morris for the entire first half atleast. So your banking on RG3 to pull an Alex Smith and start dumping it off to Helu in garbage time. Leaning heavily on Reed and taking deep shots to Garcon seems more likely. All this hype is based off of last weeks 3 touchdown effort against a Bears team that was decimated by injuries. Helu has a ton of talent and would be great for fantasy if he got all the touches in Washington. But I have a hard time seeing how he will put up a better line than he did against Dallas in week 6.Why? They seem pretty willing to go to their "turbo" package early and often if they fall behind. That package makes Helu the lead back, where he's just as dangerous as Morris with the added benefit of catching passes. To keep Manning off of the field. The "turbo" package is fast paced, meant to score quickly. Washington knows they have issues stopping the pass. Also without the TDs Helu would have scored 4 pts last week. Denver hasn't allowed a RB to score multiple TDs all season.

I agree with this. As a frustrated Morris owner, I don't get the play calling when Washington got the lead and deciding 3 incompletions in a row was a good way to keep Manning off the field and win the game. Not sure how a guy who has 85 yards in the 3rd quarter averaging 5.5 ypc is not fed the rock when you get the lead against a QB you don't want to be on the field. I think Morris had 3 more carries the entire game after they took the lead. Amazing how fast it disappeared and they abandoned the running game and got further behind every drive.
The reason most had for starting him wasn't because Helu was superior to Morris or because they were under any illusions about him. It's because was expected to receive a high number of snaps in a game where people thought the Redskins would be playing from behind much earlier. Through seven weeks Helu had 47.4% of the snaps (Morris at 52.9%).
Who said they were on the same page? I think people who needed a bye replacement were banking on the Skins getting behind against Denver, and Kyle abandoning the run like usual. Everyone knows he likes to use Helu in the hurry up offense. This time Kyle abandoned the run as soon as the game was tied, and then they had a hard time just completing a pass. I think they could have won had they stuck to the run game.
