The Incredibles 2 (1 Viewer)

I don't know why but I find it kind of funny how we look at drinking and somewhat bad words used in cartoons now.  Remember the cartoons that most of us grew up with that had rude language, drinking, smoking and racism loaded in them?
I don’t remember many PG movies in the 80s without at least a couple of pairs of #######.

Took my 7 year old to see it today.  The guns were more than you might expect from a Pixar movie, but not more than is seen anywhere else.

I must have missed the cursing, but I dozed off for a bit.  The middle is pretty slow, at least for an adult.

I don't think it's been mentioned, so I thought I'd bring this up for parents.....My son suffers from a bit of motion sickness.  There were a few scenes where he mentioned feeling nauseous.

Did your theater have a sign mentioning there being scenes that could trigger seizures?

Loved it and so did my boys. The language and gun stuff didn’t even register. Recommend.

One note, if they want to make a 3 they need to write it and record the voices ASAP. Craig T. sounded more old than incredible.

Also thought it was kind of cool that Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks were both in it.
I thought that was funny, too.

But I'm weird in that I usually prefer not knowing who the voice actors are in my animated films (it usually takes me out of the magic of the story or something).  So I didn't appreciate the behind the scenes thing right before the movie started that had most of the actors in it.  I'd prefer it if they'd save that kind of stuff for after the movie instead.

Or just the DVD extras

My six year old was super confused to hear Mr Incredible and Elastagirl when Nelson and Hunter were on screen. Hilarious.

The first movie is Pixar's best, so any sequel needed to kick butt if it wanted to compare favorably.  I can see why they waited over a decade before attempting one.  As expected, it was just good, not great.  Should my kids be watching this on TV in the future, I'm very likely to join them rather than leave the room to do chores like when any of the Cars movies come on.

I liked Bao, the short before the movie.  That was for the parents, not the kids, and I thought it was well done.
