The Top 164 (166) Movies of the 21st Century. On to the top 100!! (16 Viewers)

Based on our point structure for the top 100 we are looking at movies that if they were on just one of our lists were sitting at #57 or higher OR they were on both lists.

For example at #86 we have 80s' #47 because that was worth 54pts, then at #85 we have one that scored 54pts because it was the next one on both our lists and combined for 54 pts (my #97 and his #51). We had 36 on both lists, but 32 of them are in the top 100 because of the boost in points being on both lists. Being a top 20 required being on both lists because that movie scored 102pts..

#58 on 80s' list.
oh so he's the one with good taste
I remember being so excited hearing about Pan’s Labyrinth. It must have been Siskel and Ebert I think? I took my girlfriend to see it, it was such a cool blend of harsh reality and the fantastical. She was a big Lord of the Rings fan so I hit a home run on that movie recommendation. Relationship didn’t last too long after that but we’ll always have Pale Man.

Our last two are a French movie by an American director and the other movie that takes place where the director was born. One about a man trapped without a way to communicate and the other about the start of WW2.

Ohhh ohhhh I know them. I can also say I watched your movie from this pairing and it just was such a big no for me. Not that it was bad. Not at all. I was just way too uncomfortable with the movie and the subject matter. That’s scarier to me than any horror movie.

Saw it for the first time recently? I agree, it's terrifying to think about that and be put in that pov.

I actually think I watched way back when you had those threads where you picked a year and a then we all ranked movies from it. It was one I watched based on your recommendation but I don’t do well with medical stuff like that.

Makes sense, it is part of the greatest year for movies from the 21st century.
